Made this tonight and it was awesome. Didn't use as much spice and everyone loved it. I will make this again....

I made these for my family last night. They looked very beautifulyl displayed on the plate with ice cream, whipped cream and drizzled with hot chocolate sauce. I was disappointed, the taste wasn't what I expected. It was spicy and I like spicy but I think I will go with cinnamon next time and skip the spicy stuff.

So i seen this episode recently and it looked delicious so i go home to create it for the wife. Fairly simple but be careful when it comes to chipotle powder. I dont think chipotle chile powder is the same as chipotle chile pepper powdered. I went to two stores and they only had the latter so i thought it was right.

I let my wife try it first, and she said "wow that has some bite i need some water" so i said thats whats the ice cream is for. So i tasted it and it was hot! Besides that it was interesting and quick/easy. Will make the rest tomorrow without the powder.

I had to make some substitutions on the fly, but overall, this was really good. I used dark chocolate bars and milk chocolate chips (instead of white chocolate. I didn't have chipotle chili powder, so I used regular. Surprisingly, the cocoa chili powder wasn't overpowering or "hot." Instead, it added a unique warmth to the recipe. The contrast of the cold, creamy vanilla ice cream sent this dessert quesadilla over the top. I'll make again with the suggested ingredients. This was easy in a pinch to satisfy my sweet tooth.
