It is way too sweet. The crunch stuff on top overwhelms the peaches. I should have tried a more traditional recipe, with fewer ingrediants and let the taste of the peaches do the talking.

This was a big hit in my house and I'm the only real fan of peaches. My only tweaks to it were I used fresh peaches, left out the nuts and cranberries. Since I used fresh peaches I also decreased the cooking time.

This is now my go to peach cobbler/crumble/crisp recipe!

I agree with the other reviews.. more of a crumble or crisp than cobbler. But hey, it's just semantics.

This recipe is fabulous. I wanted to make it, but didn't feel like running to the store. I was missing five ingredients, but I found substitutions and it STILL turned out great.. even with the subs.

Subbed combo of frozen peaches/strawberries/blueberries for the peaches
Subbed pumpkin pie spice for cinnamon
    Subbed margarine for butter
    Subbed pecans for almonds
    Subbed currants for cranberries

So even if you're missing some ingredients.. give it a whirl. You may be pleasantly surprised. Can't wait to try it again with the original list.

Made this for my daughters rehearsal dinner, doubled it and there was none left. Served it warm with ice cream and it was delicious. I didn't use the dried cranberries, but did use fresh, delicious, sweet, juicy peaches, little more work, but worth it.
Also, I called it a peach crisp, instead of cobbler, as it is more of a crisp.
    YUM!

Fantastic! I used three pounds of rock hard, juice less, peaches. (they happened to be on sale at the supermarket I was skeptical that anything good could come from this fruit, but the cobbler was delicious. It was a sin-full cobbler as we became gluttons.

WOW! DELICIOUS! I used fresh peaches and it turned out sooooo good! A little more work, but well worth it! Just drop whole peaches (2 at a time into boiling water for exactly 1 min. Then transfer to cold water for 15 seconds. Peel comes right off.
