Lord have mercy! This dish was SENSATIONAL. I marinated the chicken for about 7 hours and I cooked it in the oven at 450 degrees on convection roast for about 15 minutes on each side. I really don't like ginger and I was skeptical about using it but i couldn't imagine it tasting so yummy-licious without it so do not leave out one ingredient. I have a very picky husband who requests at least 3 new recipes per week and he loved it. I'll definitely be repeating this one.

I am not a huge fan of guy. I did like this recipe very much though. I changed the chicken thighs to boneless as their more falvorfull. I grated the ginger as it imparts more taste than chopping. Marinated 10 hrs but next time overnight for sure. Lastly I did a Tyler trick that I love. I get them perfectly browned on grill then put them in the oven to finish. Makes perfectly moist delicious chicken with grill taste every time!

This recipe is amazing! So moist and full of flavor. I like to serve it with ginger rice mixed with edamame, and grilled pinapple slices. If weather is an issue broil for about 6 minutes on each side.

I marinated the thighs over night and tucked the onions, garlic and ginger under the skin hoping for more flavor and it did work! The chicken tasted really good cold the next day too. I would make these again and maybe even add more ginger to make wing sauce. It took way longer to cook on a charcoal grill than what it indicated on the recipe instructions...I would say it took closer to an hour.

Make sure you marinate it a loooonnnng time. I've done it twice, once marinating it for 3 hours, and marinating it for 12 hours. Forget the 3 hours, waste of ingredients. Add a little chili paste in the marinade, it needs some heat. Apologies to guy, this would be like changing a chord in a hit song, but if your conscience allows, do that. I used bone in thighs, and that will lengthen the cooking time considerably. These muthas tend to bring on the blaze from underneath, so make sure you have a cool spot without coals to park them. I can see how baking them might be cool. In 108° heat, turning on the oven is the last thing you want to do.

Very tasty. I used skin-on bone-in chicken thighs and baked at 350 for 45 min. Next time will marinate a pork tenderloin overnight and grill it.

Marinade is fantastic! I've tried it on wings, fish and perfect for chicken thighs, you can't go wrong with this recipe. The longer you matinate the more flavor. Perfect for a summer barbecue. Totally delicious.
