Followed recipe as written; used less salt which I always do. Easy and delicious. Made with Guy's pita bread, tatziki sauce and tomato salad. Fantastic meal.

I spat them out and said "These are fa-aweful". Yeah, I think there is a typo in the Yogurt Sauce recipe. A Tablespoon of salt WTF? It was way to salty. I would even avoid salting the balls when they come out of the oil too. Plus the Falafel Balls would fall apart super fast in the oil, I would roll them in flour next time. I think I will try a different recipe with tahini sauce next time. fecking fla-aweful

So I already had some falafel mix so i only pulled the yogurt from this recipie. Woah, maybe it was just me, but i was not feeling it. It was way to salty and very lemon-ie. I suppose that i fiddle with the recipie a bit it could have made something out of it, but why bother. So many recipies out there... I'll try a different one next time.

Once again, didnt make the falafel. The one star is not a review for the falafel, just the yogurt.

I had tried making falafels before and they always ended up breaking in the oil, but these ones were super easy and held up great in the pan. My husband was very impressed, and I really enjoyed them!

If you make this recipe, you MUST coat the falafel in flour before putting them into the hot oil. They absolutely will fall apart otherwise. I made a batch that all fell apart and I had to start over. If you do coat them, they will turn out nice and circular and golden brown. I served mine on whole wheat pitas and made the sauce without the cumin. Otherwise, it was like a cumin overload. But very tasty. A little time consuming and messy.

I love how these turned out. I halved the recipe, as I wanted to give the recipe a shot before I made it for my family. The falafels themselves were fabulous. I did tweek the sauce a bit though

To the sauce added about quarter of an english cucumber that I grated with my microplane, and then squeezed some of the water out with a paper towel so the extra water wouldn't alter the consistency of the sauce. I also added a pinch of cayenne just to added a touch of heat. I DID NOT ADD SALT. It was delicious. It tasted a little like tzatziki sauce. YUM!

The amount given for the salt in the yogurt sauce, whether it's regular or Kosher salt, is way off. My guess is it should have been 1 teaspoon, certainly not 1 Tablespoon. It ruined our falafel and despite adding more of the other ingredients to compensate, the sauce all ended up in the trash.
