Add ground up rosemary instead of cumin to the spices! It's fantastic. Yes, I too deep fry once for 10 minutes on high in my deep fryer. Then cool down and deep fry again maybe 7 minutes. I sprinkle my homemade rosemary salt on them and they are yummy!

I made the seasoning mixture but one sniff and I tossed it in the trash. I ended up using just seasoned salt for flavor which my family thought was super tasty. I gave it 4 stars because of the cooking methode. I have tried making sweet potato fries before and they always come out black. Using this methode, the fries came out nice and crispy.

They were great as is, but we did them a second time. We cut them a little thinner(around 1/4 x 1/4 inch think and exchanged the season salt for OLD BAY seasoning (2 tablespoons!! WOW!! That took them to a whole new level. Plus if you raise the temp to 395 after the 10 minute cool down step and cook them for around 7 minutes longer with butter on them, they will come out a little crispier.

I love cumin, but I absolutely hated it with the sweet potatoes. The funny thing is, my husband loved these fries. I couldn't eat them though. So moving on to the next recipe for me. I still love Guy just the same. He still rocks in my world.

The fries were too starchy and came out soft. They didn't crisp at all even letting them cool and returning them to the oven. I wouldn't make them again.

I just watched the show and plan on making these for my fiance this week end. However, I was reading the reviews and when I looked at the recipe they stated to set oven at 350 degrees yet when I watched the show Guy set it at either 400 or 425 I cannot remember for sure. So those of you who had problems with the recipe you may want to try that. He also cooked them half the time, turned them, removed them from the oven and once the burgers were cooked, put the burgers in the fry pan and the sweet potatoe fries for a few minutes longer. I hope this helps some of you

These fries are terrible. No matter what I do, they come out horrible. I followed the recipe exactly. I lessened the spices, increased the spices, increased the baking time, lowered the temp, raised the temp - almost inedible under any circumstances. Worst recipe ever from Guy. Love most everything else of his.
