Deceptively simple ingredient list -- while it turned out tasty, it took me a lot more time and effort than I'd wanted to invest. I added onions and garlic to increase flavor and reduced the flour to ~3/8 c. If there's a next time, I will remember to do the bacon in two to three batches.

Soup was too thick and lacked flavor. Disappointed.

A meal in a bowl. Great flavor and texture. Garnishes are the crowning touch especially the "Jewish Ketchup" (sour cream. Like a real loaded potato.

The soup was tasty, but too thick. I think a half cup of flour was way too much. Next time I make it I will use only 1/4 coup of flour. It was like mashed potatoes with bacon and cheese.

Great easy to make soup for a cold winter night! Like another reviewer I had to finish off the potatoes in the microwave and added another cup of milk. I also added a couple tablespoons of butter. Yummmmm! Saw Guy make this today and couldn't wait to make it! A newfangled!!!

Great basic soup as is but you'll probably need to adjust according to your taste. We like a bit of zest or spice in our food so I added a chunk of bacon & horseradish cheddar. Really wonderful, keeping this recipe

Omg. This soup is the bomb. It is so good. A loaded baked potato in a bowl and no messes. It's a beautiful thing.

Ah, bacon and potatoes. Two of my favorite food groups. How could you go wrong? My family loved this soup! I cooked the russets for over an hour, and then just finished them in the microwave. They were still a little too lumpy, so I used the emersion blender. I also needed about a cup more of milk. It was still amazing though. Thanks!
