    Where is the leavening in this cake? No baking powder, baking soda, salt.

    What's making it rise?

    I'd like to try but wondering how it rises.

    I hate to rate as awful/excellent, etc. since I haven't tried, but there's no other option.

    This pound cake is right "on point!!!" I've been experimenting with different recipes these past few weeks. Let me tell you...you will not be disappointed with this one. So far this is my favorite! It's easy and delicious...melts in your mouth.It's my husbands favorite too, and he is the king of pound cake! You rock, Guy....

    Just let me say this was the best pound cake I have ever made. I am not a sweet eater just like Guy and figured if he made a cake it was worth trying, and I am glad I did! It was simple, easy and soon to be your favorite also.

    This cake is "off the chart" delicious! The flavor, texture, and moistness are far superior to other pound cakes I've baked over the years. I made a pineapple topping which worked out great. However, the cake is perfect plain without any toppings. Thanks for sharing!

    I have not made pound cake in years, and when I saw Guy Fieri make the cake, I just said: Hey, why not try again.
    This cake recipe is simply out of this world!!!! I barely made the cake without my family trying to eat the cake batter, let alone, bake the cake.
    I made the delicious cake and it was like GONE in an instant!
    Moist, delicious, and with a nice hot cup of oolong tea, man, it brought m-a-n-y memories back.
    Thank you SOOO much. LOVED it.
    Do follow the instructions carefully, especially with cooling the cake.
    Made my day!
