Best green bean casserole I've ever made/had. The gravy was the perfect consistency, and incredibly flavorful. I even followed the recipe! Except ... instead of fried onions, I used bacon from Guy's "The Mean Green" recipe.

Delicious sauce on the green beans - rich and creamy. I took the easy way out with frozen green beans and canned fried onions. It was still way more delicious than that recipe on the back of the soup can.

I made this for Christmas this year I thought it would go great with our prime rib! It is a great recipe however the cayenne pepper is pretty hot so next time I will cut it in half and I took the advise of other reviews and cooked the green beans a little longer. But otherwise it was a perfect dish. I would love to use this cream of mushroom recipe for over pasta with chicken as well.

Agree with other reviews... the mushroom gravy is really to die-for and exceptional, definitely a keeper. As for the green beans, after reading some of the reviews, I cooked them longer than what the recipe called for, and cooked the dish a bit longer so the green beans would not be so crunchy and not mushy either. Definitely a great recipe!!

Delicious casserole. I never understood color or flavor of the other green bean thing people make year after year. You have to try this one. Thanks Guy.

OMG - this is the most delicious side-dish ever! The mushroom gravy is sooooo good. Why would anyone use that nasty can-o-soup? I would make this over and over. I see others have commented on other uses for the gravey. Yup....I'm thinking up things to put that on too....YUM!

The mushroom sauce was simply wonderful. So tasty and rich. The sauce is something that you could pour over pasta, or use for other dishes as it was just that tasty. However, I will never prepare the green beans as listed again. Next time, I will simply saute them as I usually do, and I'll add to the mixture when softened, and then bake. They were still so crunchy even after coming from the oven 20min later, and because the sauce was just that good, people still ate it.
