This recipe was fabulous! I wanted to try making Green Bean Casserole from scratch rather than using the canned soups, let me just say I will never go back to the canned recipe again. Everyone loved it! It was creamy and perfectly seasoned, and it was also a very easy recipe to follow and understand. Thank you!!!

made this for thanksgiving this year, it was FANTASTIC. The gravy was creamy and delicious, I'd put it on almost anything after tasting it with the mushrooms and greenbeans :

Made this with my Christmas dinner...very good! Sure beats anything from a can, but then why would anyone make anything out of a can?? I will make this for future holiday spreads!!

I wanted to get away from the canned soup casserole we have at every family gathering and then I saw Guy make his with homemade gravy. I made it for the first time and it is the best green bean casserole I have ever tasted! Of course, since my family agrees they now expect me to bring it everytime but I couldn't go back to our traditional casserole at this point anyhow. Thank you Guy!

This recipe is to die for. I always hated green bean casserole until I was asked to bring it for this past Thanksgiving. I decided to try this, the easier of the two Guy Fieri recipes. I've since been asked to bring it to the family Christmas party. I've been told to expect to make this several times a year now, our family loves it so much! The cayenne powder makes it spicy, but not overpowering. And the first time I used the mix of mushrooms, but the second time I only used baby bellas and there wasn't a difference. I also use frozen green beans instead of fresh.

Really nice. First time I ever made this type of dish and the family loved it at Christmas dinner yesterday. Very savory! The mushroom gravy is awesome. Tip: you only need maybe 3/4 cup of flour for the shallots, 1 cup is too much.

This green bean casserole is the best i've tasted. I added a package of frozen brussels sprouts when the green beans were addded and the dish only got better. The best part? It's made from scratch!
