This recipe is amazing!! Every time I've made it I've had to print off the recipe for my guests. Didn't use ghee and it didn't matter. I used soy yogurt (I keep Kosher yummy!! I'm off printing it out again.

This is an easy and delicious recipe for grilled lamb. I've made it a couple of times for company & it's a big hit. The surprise is the grilled limes which bring it to a whole other level. Thanks Guy!

Love, love, love this one Guy! My husband and I didn't have lamb so we used chicken instead. Paired it with Greek style foods (hummus, tzatziki sauce, tabouli and Greek flat bread. So delicious we ate lefovers for breakfast and lunch the next day!

Tried it per recipe...a dinner party of 11 all raved about the marinade flavor and how the meat had a depth of flavor. We tried the marinade/coating again but on pork roast on the gas BBQ. Once again, flavors, aromas and textures were tremendus and enjoyed by all. Many thanks from Silicon Valley, CA!!!

This is a great grill recipe, but I don't Like lamb. What other meat can I use?

I watched the show that Guy did for this recipe and decided it would be perfect for a back yard dinner. I substituted boned leg of lamb and marinated it for 24 hours. It was cooked on my gas Weber along with the marinated onions. I grilled the limes and created platters of lamb, onion and limes. I also made the chickpea salad and luckily doubled the recipe (only some salad dressing was left in the bowl. I pre-cooked the green beans in the morning and then sauteed them in the ghee tossing with the black sesame seeds. The lamb was so tender, you could cut it with the fork. My guests raved about the meal. This was the easiest dinner I have ever created. My friends thought thought that I had been to culinary school. Thanks Guy for making me look good.

Made this the other night, it was GREAT. My Greek wife, who has eaten lamb all of her life, thought it was great too. I used leg of lamb in place of lamb shoulder - it was sooo tender and tasty. Had the butcher de-bone and butterfly it; I marinated it per Guy's recipe and grilled it using indirect heat on my Weber kettle. Made the green beans (with the ghee! and also made the salad per the recipe that Guy made with this lamb on the show -- it was all great. Thanks Guy.

I served this for friends at a summer evening gathering and received rave reviews and requests for e-mails of the recipe. The delicious lamb and especially the grilled tandoori onions flew off the serving platter.

The salad was a great favorite of the vegetarian guests going back for seconds and thirds.

I only have one suggestion.......when serving to guests, DOUBLE THE RECIPE!!

I received so many compliments about the Tandoori style Lamb at our 4th of July party it was almost embarassing!
From toasting the Cumin and Coriander to grilling the onions and limes, this was a great success.
Even many of those who said they had never eaten lamb for one reason or another loved it after being persuaded to try by other guests.

The party was a great success in its own right, but the addition of great food is a huge bonus.
I even used my own Balsamic Jerk marinade on some of the lamb for a little variety and that was a big hit too. I cooked over 10 lbs of lamb that day!

    Thanks Guy!
