Guy, my man! You have done it AGAIN! These wings are DOPE!!! They are a welcome replacement for buffalo wings (which I hate. They have a nice little spicy kick from the adobo and the lime and tequila combination is awesome. I used a tequila liqueur instead of regular tequila and it just set them off!!

These wings are wonderful. A big hit with our guests. I borrowed from another of Guy's wing recipes, and brined the wings for about 90 minutes (did not have enough time to brine for hours; added 1/4 cup brown sugar to the brine which included salt, black peppercorns and garlic. I wanted to double the marinade per other reviews, but did not have enough limes - so I subbed pineapple juice. The result was fall of the bone delicious wings. Try this recipe!

I used chipoltes in adobo sauce and 1 Tablespoon of the adobo sauce and that added much more flavor than the original recipe.

I really liked them. I added more agave to offset the sour, but they turned out great. I also added chili garlic paste a.k.a. Sambal Oelek sauce. It gave it a really nice garlicky bite. Way to go Guy!!! Keep them coming!

Guy's recipes are hit or miss with us. This wasn't so great for our palates. Made the marinade as is for the wings after the first cooking. OK...seemed sour. Grilled the wings and added honey to the original marinade to brush on as they cooked. They were OK when done, but definitely not decent enough to make again.

I made these for the Super Bowl along with Alton Brown's baked wing recipe and my go-to Hooters hot wings recipe. These were the favorite! Great flavors and juicy texture. Sure, they're not thermo-nuclear hot wings, but they're a very good alternative. Thanks Guy!

I agree that there was some sour to the recipe. I added a little honey to the sauce and had these for the superbowl. All i can say is WOW. Very good, fun to eat (less messy that traditional hot sauce based wings and great "curb appeal".

Thanks for the heads up it needed more sauce. 4x the above for 8lbs of drumsticks. Also added about 8x the honey (replacing the agave nectar. Guests like sweet flavors with the spicy. Added a couple hot peppers to the sauce too.
Everyone loved it with these modifications. Very different flavor than traditional buffalo because of the the adobo paste as the base.

Pretty good. I think the men at the party liked them more than the woman. Sauce was a little too sour/tart for my taste. But pretty good.
