Made this tonight for a Mexican Italian theme tailgate and it was a hit with everyone!I bought cilantro by mistake instead of the Italian parsley so I went with it and I thought it added a little more Mexi to it.Will definitely be adding this to the recipe file.

Wow! This is an amazing recipe. It's delicious and just the right amount of spicy. I served it as sort of a TV-watching-sports meal cut into squares for easy scooping up a portion onto individual small plates. I served the salsa and sour cream/ricotta cheese mix on the side. I never had prepared wontons like this before and was nicely surprised at how perfect they worked.

This was such a tasty spin on nachos! The wontons were so good & crunchy - the perfect "chips"! I made the salsa with everything required, but didn't have the picante peppers so I just used an anaheim pepper & that worked out great! I used the remainder of the red onion from the salsa for the meat mixture instead of the yellow onion. I also didn't have sour cream on hand so I used greek yogurt with the ricotta & it was a nice creamy substitute. My husband loved it too!

This was very good. I baked the wontons instead of frying, and added a can of drained and rinsed canellini beans with the meat mixture to add some more protein. My whole family really enjoyed this and said would gladly eat it many times!

Loved how easy this was! What made it even easier was that I brushed the wo tons with oil and partially folded them on to themelves on a baking sheet and crisped them that way instead of frying. Saves alot of time and they came out great!

What a refreshing idea combining the meats. I didn't have beef but I did have the Italian sausage and chorizo on hand. No extra spices were needed. I was totally out of mozzarella (which I hated so I my only other choice was shredded sharp cheddar (not so good. I think the mozzarella would have made this the perfect appetizer. I will do that next time.
