My husband and I didn't love this dish. Not that we hated it, but we would not eat it again. However, neither of us have had haluski before, so maybe we just didn't understand it.

My grandmother made kaluski all the time. The one big difference with hers was she used sauerkraut instead of fresh cabbage. this looked good so tried it, was o.k. but I prefer the sauerkraut.

Not sure what I did wrong but this was not a winner for my family. We love all of the ingredience. It sounded and looked so good on the show. But at my house, no one finished thier plate. It wasn't awful. Just not a winner.

I've made this but with bacon.I had it recently at the famous Knoebels park in Pa.They don't put any meat in theirs, just wide egg noodles, onions and cabbage.I prefer bacon in it.I also added poppyseed to mine.It does make it tasty.

made a few changes, no peas, hubby hates warm peas, used bacon, no carrots, but was awesome! have made classical type haluski many times, was a nice change! Capers, wine and lemon juice were an awesome addition! will make again!

LOVE IT !!!! DELICIOUS!!!! My husband made this after seeing Triple D and I about made myself sick eating too much of it. After reading the reviews, I want to try it with the cottage cheese and homemade dumplings next time. And for the nay-sayers and those who cry that it's non-traditional, everyone makes a dish their own way. We live in a largely Hispanic area and they fight amongst themselves big time over how to do something like enchiladas or tamales the "REAL traditional" way. So try it and you will LOVE it!

I am going to try this one when the weather gets colder. It looks delicious. Why all
the moaning over "it's not authentic". If we never experimented, we would still be eating
dinosaur bone soup.
