Baked beans? or Chili? Either way, this is a delicious and unique dish, very hearty with all the beef and beans. The kids loved it even after we told then that yes, those ARE lima beans. My only complaint is that the recipe didn't make more. Double it up and eat it all week!

The most awesome dish I have made. Took it to a BBQ the other day and left with an empty dish big hit with my friends.

I very rarely use other peoples recipes but I had never made homemade baked beans before so I looked them up the this site. I gotta tell ya, this recipe was absolutely amazing!!! My boyfriend and I have 8 children between us and we have them all over for dinner 2 Sundays a month. Every one of them asked if we prepare the same dinner again. The beans were off the hook good!!

Guy: These beans were off of the chart. I made them for a family gathering and everyone raved about them. They were so delicious! I served them with a crusty bread with herbal butter. Again, absolutely melt in your mouth goodness. Thanks again

I agree with everybody, HANDS DOWN, the BEST baked beans around!! I used barbecue sauce instead of ketchup and chopped taco meat in place of the skirt. Have it with corn bread or dark brown bread, and you have a WOWSER meal!

This recipe is "MONEY!" I double the amount of beans to stretch it a little farther for big gatherings like my son's graduation party!! The teenagers ate them up. The only baked bean recipe I will ever make!!!

Great recipe. My family loved it. I substituted a flank steak for the skirt, and a white bean instead of the canneloni (neither of these were available from the store I went to. I poured mine over a buttermilk biscuit and it was awesome.

Made the recipe for an office potluck, and everyone raved about them. A few people said that they were the best baked beans they had ever had, and I second that.
