This rating is for the Food Network, not Guy.
I love to read through reviews to get an idea of how others liked the recipe. However, in 2 pages o reviews, there are FIVE reviews that are full of vulgarity and vilness. I have already written to Food Network about this, but for some reason those postings remain. Somebody there needs to pay attention since we readers shouldn't have to be subjected to this vileness, and neither should the cooks/chefs who produce these recipes.
Perhaps not surprisingly, 3 of those nasty postings were anonymous, which to me shows that in addition to lacking manners, the posters lack ba...uh, courage.

I have made this three or four times now. My boyfriend and our three kids all love this. It makes alot. So I can make the sandwich one night. Then next I add rice, two cans of diced tomatoes and stock and make jambalaya. Thanks Guy, love almost everything you do.

I have made this sandwich many times and it has never made anyone sick!!! It is great to make ahead and reheat. I have taken this camping and it made a quick easy dinner for a large group!! Would recommend as a great meal, make extra and freeze for another day!!

I made this recipe on a night my husband ended up working very late. The kids thought it was too spicy, but I enjoyed it very much. My husband took the leftovers to work the next day and when everyone smelled it, they had to taste it. They all loved it. The only thing I did different is instead of the andoulli, I used chorizo and I served it over rice. Thanks for showing us great recipes we can use on a daily basis Guy.

We really enjoyed this recipe, but the directions are a little misleading. The recipe feeds about 6-8 people and takes at least 2 hours total. We were planning on eating as the game began, but the recipe wasn't ready until halftime. Prep work takes about an hour- lots of chopping and dicing, but it's well worth the effort. Browning all of the various meats adds about another 30 minutes of active cook time, and then there's the hour of inactive simmer time.
We also hollowed out the bread a little, to make the sandwich more manageable since we were eating in front of the tv. To cut the fat, we substituted chicken andouille sausage (Aidell's brand and turkey smoked sausage and bacon. We omitted the chicken thighs and used skinless breasts. The flavor did NOT suffer! This sandwich was very flavorful and a great way to keep warm on a cold Winter day.
The cayenne was a little too much for my tastebuds. If you aren't sure if your guests can handle the heat, begin with less cayenne. I thought it overpowered some of the more subtle flavors. Next time, I'll use half the cayenne, and add a little bit of another chili powder. I may also try using beer instead of water, as suggested here.
Thanks, Guy! We saw you make this at the Fabulous Food Show, and were eager to try it ourselves. It did not disappoint!

this is going to be my turkey weekend tailgate food, in a bowl, when Tech beats UVA in a few weeks. company is coming so i need to serve a winner. the weather will be cold so this dish will fit the bill. a hearty meal worth serving too, when a crowd is coming over and you are eating at different times. makes good leftovers also, if there are any. i ignore reviews that are personal attacks on the chefs. am only interested in cooks who found ways to improvise the recipe or had questions. guy makes food real folks want to cook and eat. continue on guy !!!! entertaining to watch even if i do not want to make the dish. i always learn something... thanks guy.

We made this sandwich when it first aired and many times since. Definitely a man's sandwich but I enjoy it just as much!

This is a BCS winner for sure! It incorporates all the classic tailgate meats! Great variety of sausage, chicken and pork. This should make it into everyones tailgate party. I try to make something different at each game, this will be the season tailgate finale'! Thanks Buddy!!

I don't think I have ever eaten anything so wonderful. My friends have already begged me to do it again, and I will. I didn't have parsley so I used cilantro and used some homemade beer rather than water.
