My husband loved this one. It was the first recipe in awhile he has raved about. Now, I accidently got Chorizo and not Andoulle. So ended up crumbling that in. I am sure it made a difference, but really can't see that he waould like it any less the 'right' way. The only suggestion I have (whatever meat you use is to buy a sturdy roll, and scoop out the inside so that you can filler up!

Heaven on a bun, heart attack on a plate, but who cares--it is so worth it.

This sandwich is incredible! There is a lot of prep work involved, so try to do as much of it before hand as possible then you can just throw the ingrediants together. It is worth the time you put it!

I made this recipe yesterday morning and allowed it to simmer in the slow cooker. It turned out great. I made one change and added a 12 oz. can of beer instead of the 1/2 cup water the recipe called for. Since it was in the slow cooker, it had a chance to reduce and wasn't at all watery at dinner.

To the Anonymous poster who said it was "vile"...if you don't like a recipe just say you don't like it. There's absolutely no reason to start making personal comments about the chef or his/her guests.
