My husband and I saw this show and quickly decided to make the meal - and we weren't disappointed! My chicken thighs only marinated for about 5 hours and they were still flavorful. I wasn't expecting to enjoy the mango salsa - but it was a great compliment to the entire dinner and I would definitely make it again. They key is that the ingredients were already in my kitchen, it was an easy meal to make and clean up, and it was delicious to boot! Great job Guy!

Loved this one with the rice. I recommend as with any recipe add certain spices to taste rather than following the amounts exactly as in the recipe. I cut the salt down in the rice and added more cilantro. In the chicken marinade I cut the amount of pepper, so that my kids could enjoy it too! It was great! Loved the mix of flavors.

My husband has been getting into watching the show and has asked me to prepare Guy's menu the last two weekends. This one was tops! I tweeked it a bit by not adding allspice to the marinade, but adding some honey, and using some chicken breast and some chicken thighs. Also, I added freshly sqeezed orange juice to the liquid for the rice instead of chicken stock. This made for a lighter dish, which complimented the the other dishes.

Whoever left that review about Guy being a jerk is pretty shallow.

This is a pretty good simplified adaptation of real Jamaican jerk. While not as complex tasting as other jerk rubs/marinades, almost all the required ingredients in this recipe should be in the average cook's cupboard. Good in a pinch...but better recipes/prepared rubs are out there. Pairing with mango salsa is classic and tasty.

The whole family loved this recipe. I substituted the scotch bonnet with chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and it provided a smokiness while still providing some heat.

Guy came up with an excellent recipe that the entire family loves. Some heat to satisfy those who like it without taking away from the taste to those who don't.

It took a long time to prepare the marinade and salsa from scratch but it was very good! The marinade had a good flavor so I would recommend marinating the chicken minimum of two hours.

Saw this episode a week ago and had to try it. I made the entire menu for tonight's dinner and my boyfriend couldn't stop eating it! I used thighs and chicken breasts instead of kabobs-marinated it about 4 hours. The marinade was too spicy for me as a dipping sauce, but the BF loved it! The rice was the bomb and the salsa was an excellent cooler for the mouth.

The Mango Salsa is to die for! I will make it again for sure! The kabobs were good but very different. I was prepared for a different flavor, but I guess my mouth isn't quite ready for my apple pie spices to be on my chicken. But it was fun to try!
