Excellent side dish! I will be making this regularly. The only thing I did differently was minus the red pepper as I am not a fan of raw peppers. Otherwise this recipe was spot on and the marinade was perfect for it. It is a lot of prep work and as I do not possess great knife skills I might need to invest in a mandoline for convenience.

Awesome. Give it time to let the flavors mingle and get happy and it just gets better. I have a Borner V Slicer Mandoline and it cuts the prep time in half, making it super easy and super delicious.

I used lemon because I didn't have lime on hand. I used cumin instead of the chili seasoning. I shredded the carrots because I don't julienne it well.

Great recipe. I have made it several times for a side dish. The only issue I have, is if you use ALL of 1 jicama, 1 fennel and 1 celery root, WOW it makes a ton. I usually end up giving about half of it away before it spoils.

Made this after having a similar salad at a restaurant. Took it to a neighbors dinner party! Everyone even the kids loved it! Will definately make this healthy salad again and again!

I chose to make this recipe because I wanted to make something with jicama and try Guy's recipe for the first time. The salad tasted fine, but nothing outstanding. I love rice vinegar but found that it overwhelmed the salad. I did make a minor (I think change by substituting thai chili paste for chili powder & red chili flakes; i also omitted cabbage because i didn't have it. The recipe made waaaaaaaay too much dressing for the amount of ingredients (of course, like I said, I did leave the cabbage out. I will not be making the recipe again because although my chopping skills aren't too bad, I'm no chop master and the taste of the salad wasn't worth the amount of work it involved... in my opinion

I know it is a Jicama Slaw, but I I felt like there was too much of it in the salad. The flavors combine very nicely, though.

This is absolutely delicious. We never eat slaw with mayo-based dressing so I have made countless slaw recipes with vinaigrette dressing. This is by far the best. The mix of veggies is great although I did use more cabbage because the recipe makes a lot of dressing. Go and make this slaw now - you'll be glad you did. Thanks, Guy!

This recipe is a little labor intensive, but well worth it! Family loved it. I served it with some grilled salmon and pasta and it was a great addition.
