Finally, tasty mashed potatoes without butter! Decided to make this on the spur of the moment so had to make 2 substitutes: no Yukon Gold so used russet(baking potatoes & no fresh rosemary but the garden supplied fresh winter savory. Had to use a bit more milk because of the drier potato. I cooked the garlic until is was GBD maybe more than GF? Definitely want to use your very best EVOO for this.

Way too garlicky & peppery, and i even halved the amount in the recipe. Not enough milk to create a creamy texture. Hope these taste better in Guy's restaurant.

I definitely recommend this recipe, since everyone at our Thanksgiving table was amazed at how rich and flavorful it was without using any heavy cream or butter. The garlic was a little strong for my taste though, so I would probably half the amount next time. I did also use a full cup of skim milk, since they seemed really dry with only half.

The flavor was excellent. The texture was good, but very dry. For 5 pounds of potatoes, only 1/2 c. was required. We added almost a cup of milk to get them to the right consistancy.

DELICIOUS!! The flavors reminded me of the garlic and rosemary roasted red potatoes I make! It could be because I couldn't find any Yukon potatoes at grocery store so I had to make recipe with small red potatoes...

This was nice with the garlic and rosemary. It needed more butter or a richer milk product.

This is a lite verison of a household favorite. Paired it with braised short ribs and red wine. It was a perfect combo

This was bland so, I added 1 - 1 1/2 cups of sour cream. I'm going to even try mayo next time around. My family still loved it and wants it again soon.
