We are on Adkins so didn't eat the bread or sauce. Love this recipe. It was fun to make and makes you wonder about what other little treasures you can hide between the patties next time. Maybe mushrooms? A slice of dill pickle might be a fun surprise.

I have never tasted a bad recipe from Guy., but this is one of his best! By the way, that review of his new restaurant was just plain mean spirited. Keep sharing your good food with us!

Awesome! My son said it was the best burger he's ever had and he doesn't think he can ever eat a plain burger again!

I made these but, changed it up a bit. The rural area I live in I can't get chorizo sadly. So I had everything but that, anyways my family loved it and it's a new favorite. :

They were juicy, but bland to me. I am not a swiss cheese person so I used a mixture of mozzerella and sharp cheddar cheese. I will try it one more time and try to inject some flavor into the burger patty itself next time.

The ketchup is definitely a five. The burgers were a bit of a challenge for my husband to grill due to their size. They remained juicy even though they had to be cooked longer.

These were full of meaty deliciousness. My only concern is that these were HUGE burgers. 1/2 pound each not including the filling. It is definitely a challenge to finish. We made them again but this time made them into sliders which was easier to take on. My husband has now said he cant imagine eating a regular burger ever again and only prefers them inside out.

Also we didnt make the BBQ sauce as we were pressed for time, but will do next time.

Thank you Guy another fantastic recipe that will get be a hit during football season!

Holy Cow! No pun intended. This burger was SO GOOD. Definitely restaurant quality. I feel like after making this, I never need to order a burger in a restaurant again. I love that extra punch to it from adding the chorizo sausage grounded up! I loved this method of cooking it in the pan and then finishing it off in the oven. This burger came out SO AMAZING. It's definitely the best burger I've ever made, possibly the best one I've ever HAD! Thanks Guy! This one is PHENOMENOL.

I made this recipe for my ketchup-hating boyfriend, just leaving it on the side should he decide to be adventurous and try it . . . and he loved it! I have to say, it comes out more like a chutney than a ketchup texture-wise, but it absolutely makes the burger. I substituted goat cheese for the swiss cheese in my own burger and it was also delicious.

Although I modified this recipe (I am not a pork lover by leaving the chorizo out, I liked it. If I am to cook this again - and I will - I would use less meat and try to get more of the instide stuff inside - that is were goodness to this recipe lies!!
