We LOVED this salad, and we typically hate macaroni salad. We substituted 'tamed' jalape?os for the papadews, and used garlic salt to season. The jalape?os added a nice tame heat to the salad.

We are gonna whore this recipe out everywhere we go!

This is absolutely, hands down by far the BEST macaroni salad I have ever had.

This is the first pasta salad I've ever made and it was delicious! The crunch of the veggies (carrots and celery and the slight spice added by the peppers gave a kick to what could have been a bland salad. I will definitely make this again!

This is great as-is, but so easy to add and/or substitute ingredients - kalamata olives, rotisserie chicken, bell peppers, feta cheese, etc. are all great additions. Just adjust the mayo/mustard as needed. No chance to find the pepadews here in Germany, but peperoncini or jalapenos work just as well.

Great dish, but good luck on those Peppadew's.

Took me about 3 hours and 4 stores to finally find them. Thats right, even Whole Foods didn't have them.

At any rate it was worth the time and effort. Without those peppadews this would have been a good recipe. With them, it made for a great one!

This recipe was a BIG HIT at today's bbq at Mission Bay in San Diego! Maybe because it was delicious, maybe because everyone thought it was cool that it was Guy Fieri's recipe...either way, who cares? Good is good! Go ahead and try this easy-to-make salad. You won't be disappointed!

This was a great recipe- but we did add a bit of a twist- I cut the mayo to 1 and 1/4 cup and added a can of chopped water chestnuts for more crunch and 3 chopped hardboiled eggs. We also added 3 tablespoons of chopped chives and 2 tablespoons of chopped sundried tomatoes - we just love that flavor: We used rice wine vinegar since it's a bit milder and it came out just the way we like it! It did make a TON of salad, but that's OK! Thanks Guy!

this is by far the BEST macaroni salad that i have ever had! I will throw away ever other recipe, take a marker to every macaroni recipe in all of my cookbooks and write "SEE GUY FIERI'S MAC-DADDI-RONI SALAD", and NEVER EVER buy any store made macaroni salad again!
THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU!

OK...so it's a little time consuming but worth it. I might cut down on the mustard just a tad but everything else was great. Couldn't find peppadew peppers so I substituted banana peppers. Next time will add 3/4 cup of blanched peas for some additional color and sweetness. BETTER second day. Great do ahead recipe.

I made this over the weekend for my husband and me and it has just the right kick. Yummy! I used only about 1.5 cups of mayo and reduced the mustard a little too since I cut back on the mayo. I only had 2 cloves of garlic on hand so it probably wasn't quite as much as the recipe called for. It was perfect and I can't wait to share some with our neighbors tonight and to have more myself. I know they will love it also! Thanks Guy!
