Just made a double batch of this for a BBQ tomorrow. So sick of bland mac salads so this one sparked my interested. I just snuck a small taste and it's probably the BEST mac salad I've ever tasted. The hot peppers really add a nice kick as does the mustard. I left out the onion and cut the garlic in half (don't like those flavors and it's amazing.

My husband and I absolutely loved this salad. I have been looking for a different macaroni salad and seen Guy cook this one so we tried it. I will keep this recipe in my favorites cookbook that I am making.

My brother-in-law hates everything from puppies to babies to me but he loved this macaroni salad when I made it for him! When I make it again I'll use a might less prepared mustard and I might even reduce the mayo and substitute a bit of salad creme for added sweatness.

Peppadew pepper also called a piquante or sweet piquante pepper resembles a cross between a cherry tomato and a very small red pepper. The flavor is a blend of sweet and spicy. They come in mild to hot. There also is Peppadaw Ketchup. Hope this helps.

In one of Guy's other recipes he gives this alternative for the ingredient peppadews: "peppadew peppers (sweet red peppers or roasted red bell peppers"

This makes a great side dish. We grill all summer and I was tired of cole slaw. It looked like a lot of mayo when I was mixing it, so I ended up only using 1.5 cups and then didn't even pour the entire mixture on the pasta. It worked great, however, the next day the pasta absorbed the dressing, so a little more may be better. The leftovers were great regardless and we ate this for three days there was so much of it.

When I saw this episode I knew I definitely had to try this recipe! IT WAS WORTH THE EFFORT AND WAIT! And it gets better with time, I made it last night to go along with dinner, it chilled for an hour then we couldn't wait any longer! My hubby really enjoyed it, I think he used the term "Killer"! He had another bowl today and said it got a little spicer overnight! I read other reviews about the black pepper so I only added a teaspoon but next time I will add a little more, maybe not the whole TABLESPOON but definitely a little more than a teaspoon! Enjoy!!!

Great mac salad! Tastes better if left in the fridge for a few hours, and if you don't like black pepper, i would only put in a tsp instead of a tbsp b/c it's a bit much.
    Definitely a keeper!
