    Bar none! This is out of this word amazing! My husband is not a huge pasta fan, and when i suggested making this for dinner, he fussed a bit! However, when I served this, his eyes grew huge and begged for more! OH DADDY! This is a winner! Guy, you are truly a blessing, and our family thanks you for your talent!

    One of my son's favorites is mac and cheese. I told him I was making homemade and he could not have been happier. This was a hit...awesome. Very rich and not healthy at all. I am thinking it would be a great dish for a potluck.
    My family LOVED it~

    Guy is awesome and so are his recipies. I made this dish for a group of friends and was surprised how easy it was to follow the instructions. The end result was an excellent side dish with a little different twist on the taste. This is not your Aunt's mac and cheese. Excellent taste and well liked by everyone, the oone downside was that there were no leftovers!!

    I am a huge fan of Guy but I have never made any of his recipes.. until tonight.
    Tonight for dinner I whipped up a dish of this mac daddy mac and cheese and even though I didn't follow his recipe exactly, it was extremely easy and the flavors were incredible.

    Since my household can't handle pepper jack cheese, we substituted regular Monterey Jack and use some extra sharp cheddar. This allowed the casserole to get a little bite from the cheese. I also didn't have the time to roast garlic and was out of shallots, so I improvised with half of a red onion and some minced garlic. I simply added them after cooking the bacon and sauteed them until they were tender and brown.

    This was my first attempt at a rue and had a success! I'm extremely happy with how the dish came out and look forward to having it again!

    This was a great recipe for mac and cheese. Its nice because most mac and cheese calls for elbow noodles and this is something different. Also the pepper jack gives it a nice little bite.

    A world of flavor with an easy preparation. I liked the combination of cheeses. However, being lazy and not wanting to grate my own pepper jack cheese, I bought shredded Jack and added crushed black pepper and a bit of Cayenne. The topping added some nice flavor as well. The bacon could easily be replaced with a meat of your choice, such as chorizo or prosciutto. Out of the oven it looks great all bubbly and brown. If you've never made Mac n' Cheese from scratch before, this is definitely one to try.
