    This is one of my favorite mac n cheese recipes. The first time I made it exactly like it says (minus the pepper jack, I don't like spicy and we love it, but it was a little rich. The second time I omitted the bacon, bacon grease, and heavy cream and substituted olive oil and Jarlsberg and it was spectacular. Oh and I used whole grain pasta. I'm in love with this mac n cheese, however I make it it's always tasty!

    LOVED IT!! I totally love this recipe. Made it when we had company over and it was a huge hit! I tried several mac and cheese recipes, and this has been the best one so far!

    I had to make this recipe twice in the same day, due to the fact that i didn't cook the pasta first. (read carefully! haha. When I finally got done with this mac and cheese it was alright but could of used more spices or maybe im just not much of a mac and cheese kinda girl. It was cheesy and creamy though. Just a little bland. The bacon and bread crumbs really helped alot.

    This mac n cheese was great! I ate half of it myself (I love baked mac n cheese. For some reason the left overs tasted even better. I did reheat it in the oven and there was some oil but not enough to say that it was greasy. Thumbs up! I will make this my Mac N Cheese from now on.

    OMG! This is to die for! I have made a lot of different mac & cheese recipes but this one beats them all! It was easy to make & the taste is so creamy & comforting. I didn't have pepper jack cheese on hand so I used an Italian blend (mozzarella, provolone, & asiago along with the cheddar. Play around with the cheeses for a different flavor every time. I also added about 1/3 cup of parmesan cheese to the breadcrumb mixture and sprinkled that on top. Amazing! If you've been searching for that perfect mac & cheese recipe, search no more! This is a keeper!

    Ah-mazing! Used Tillamook Pepper Jack and Medium Cheddar and it came out fabulous. Better than any fancy-shmancy restaurant's Mac N Cheese. I can't wait to make it to show off to friends and family. As for the complaints that it was greasy, I would suggest using higher quality cheeses. Just a guess, but that might be the problem. Also, making this with pepperjack gave it tons of flavor. We didn't even add salt. It was outstanding!

    OMG !!!!!!! i just made this for my son's birthday dinner he is 5 and he loved it i used American white cheese and Parmesan sooooooooooooo good thank you sooooo very much you made my night . And my son's birthday dinner AWESOME =-

    I have made this dish several times and it is always a huge hit. It is so creamy and delicious everyone loves it. I substitute fat free half and half for the cream and it is still rich and creamy. I also add 1 tsp of dry mustard and a few dashes of tabasco to the sauce and double the topping. Wow Daddy!!
