    Wow! This is the best macaroni and cheese I have ever had. I didn't have any shallots but used an onion and it still came out beautifully. One of the best mac and cheese recipes! It's a do-over.

    This mac and cheese, although flavorful, is disgustingly greasy. There are better recipes out there that add flavor without the amount of excessive fat in this dish. Yuck.

    amazing! made two batches for thanksgiving and they got demolished! i hate baked mac and cheese that is bland, and this definitely had some major flavor from the bacon fat. definitely a decadent dish, but totally worth the calorie splurge!

    Awesome!! I made this as one of the side dishes to a deep fried turkey at a Buffalo Bills Tailgate. This is not what everyone expected when I said I was adding M&C to the table. The panko/parsley topping is a key as well as the roasted garlic/shallots

    Simply amazing recipe. Let me preface this buy saying, I am not a macaroni and cheese fan. My family is though. So for Thanksgiving I thought I would try a mac and cheese bake instead of boxed. Wow, wow, wow! It was delicious, creamy and full of flavor. I did use the pepper jack cheese, but I also added Beemster mustard seed dutch cheese, because I didn't have any cheddar. It was probably even better because I used the gourmet cheese. Also, I use a lot more panko and bacon on top. Do yourself a favor and try this recipe. Thanks Guy, I truly appreciate it!

    Crazy good! I did cut back on the cream though and used 1 cup cream, 3 cups milk and it was incredibly rich. Not that that's a bad thing! I also used garlic butter to saute the bread crumbs for the top. Wow this is good. Totally replacing my usual throw-things-together mac and cheese!

    Almost every recipe from Guy, I love. Here is another one! Loved this mac and cheese! The bacon pushed it over the top for me.... of course I added more bacon than the recipe called for and I am so glad I did.
