The glaze was delicious. I marinated it overnight and it was juicy and delicious. The times are terrible wrong so turn it up and cook it longer. I used chicken breasts instead of entire chicken. Also I wasnt paying attn and the rum/broth condensed to much so i just added more rum. O, and I used light rum. (Bacardi

The chicken (without the glaze was absolutely delectable. However, the glaze was grose! We made the glaze in the sauce pan as directed. Once it was done it smelled and tasted so bad it ended up flushed down the toilette. The chicken again, was very delicious and we will definitely make it again. Also, the directions for temp and time in the oven are not correct. You will need to keep an eye on the chicken, because 25 minutes at 300 degrees is not sufficient.

This was my first time making one of Guy's recipes. My family loved it! The only problem I had was I didn't have kosher salt and didn't know I needed to adjust when using regular salt. Other then being too salty it was perfect.

what a huge disappointment- and a waste of rum. Love Guy, hate this.

This was a GREAT recipe! I did not have kitchen shears, I used regular ole shears that came with my knife block set. Nothing great, but they got the job done no problem. I did not have lime juice,(I used lemon, no white wine vin (used Cider, and no Mint. It worked just as good. I used Cornish Hens for this. They were on sale, and they were the size for one person and it worked. I will be making this again. I am going to do it with regular chicken breast (bone in just adjust my cooking time.

This was probably the best chicken I have ever made. We don't drink but I went ahead and got a cheap rum ($6 and the sauce was great. Also I used chicken breast and it worked out just fine. Delicious and will definitely be a family favorite.

To the person that said they did not have an oven proof pan. I didn't think I did either till I started reading some of the labels. Most saute' pans and skillets are oven safe to 350 degrees and up.
I can't wait to make this recipe. Do I need poultry shears or can I just hack it with a knife!? :

What a great recipe. However, Guy has no clue as to how long or what the temperature should be. You must really, really brown the chicken before putting in the oven. Guy makes you think this is a 4 minute process ............ wrong. much longer. 300 degrees - we started there then went to 325 and then 350 and then 375. GUY HAS NEVER MADE THIS RECIPE. What a great possibility - what awful directions.

I was extremely disappointed with this recipe. Not only did the chicken take much longer than expected but the glaze looked nothing like on the show and tasted less than wonderful. Not recommending this dish to anyone.
