Tried this recipe and everyone loved it. Hey Guy, i only have one question. Since I don't use liquor in recipes, cuz no one drinks here, can i substitute the rum for chicken broth or just leave it out? hopefully, you will answer my question.
Thank you very much and watch all your shows everyday and night time. I love in Las Vegas and after i saw the one you did on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, at The Coffee Cup, I went and tried it and loved everything, especially the Green Salsa Verde Breakfast they have. Boy was it delicious.
I am a really big fan of yours
Keep up the good work Guy.
Thank, Jayne Tavis

I used boneless skinless breasts and did not use the glaze. It was soooooooo moist and flavorful. I will try next time w/ the glaze.

I love this recipe. I have made it several times and receive kudos from everyone wanting to get the recipe. I sometimes skip the searing step and the recipes comes out the same, I just use the broiler to get the chicken just the way I like it. Fried plantains or sweet potato home fries compliment the chicken well. This is one of my favorite recipes.

This came out great! The only issue that I had with it is that it took a lot longer than 25 minutes in the oven. Maybe I didn't brown it long enough... I don't know. Either way, it came out great. I love Guy's recipes! Try his Chicken Hash. That one is still my favorite!!

I LOVE Guy Fieri... on TV. I find his recipes, though, to be pretty difficult. I used boneless/skinless chix breasts instead and I don't have a pan that can also go in the oven, so I had to improvise. Chalk it up to user's error, but it came out dry and lacking in flavor. And, between the rub, glaze, AND marinade, it took me all day. The only saving grace was the glaze -- next time, I'll just make that, slice up some chicken, and coat that.

This wasn't difficult at all! Excellent blend of flavors. I've never had a mojito cocktail before, but love rum-based drinks. I followed the recipe as given but deleted the cumin and used apple cider vinegar. I agree that you could use half the salt in the rub, but overall, the flavors were rich without being overwhelming. Go easy on the cornstarch in the glaze and you'll be fine. Marinate for several hours if possible. Tasty! It will definitely make a return visit to this dinner table.
