Very tasty...I loved them. One of the few that are worthy. The post that did not like them probably eats Boca burgers and likes them is all I can say.

These turned out great - I made a couple small changes that you might like; added chopped mushrooms, 1 Tbs. lemon juice, and use some Trader Joe's South African Smoke Seasoning. I melted feta cheese on top and topped with lettuce, avocado, red onion and tomato. Sandwich between two warmed mini pita rounds. On one round spread spicy hummus and the other with Tahini sauce. Pita chips on the side... ENJOY!

Well, I'm glad I made these before I read the last few reviews. These are delicious. They are also a great base for using whatever vegetables you like. My only concern was the egg. The burgers held together better without the egg. These are easy and a great addition to your recipe box.

I made this exactly as listed, but I did mash the beans a bit.
The mixture did not hold together at all.
Taste was ok, but extremely dry.
Not a lot of veggies at all.
Cannot believe this is the best Guy can find.
People, please stop giving recipes like this good marks!!! There are excellent veggie burgers at some good restaurants, and positive reviews for ones like this are only giving veggie burger a worse name.

This is my first time making a veggie burger/patty. I am trying to eat better and wanted to give this a try. I read the reviews, changed a few things, but I really liked them. What I did was used a can of cannelli beans instead of the mixed beans (I don't like black beansI smashed most of them with a potato masher. I followed everything else as listed, but added chopped mushrooms a dash of worcestershire sauce and a 1/2 teaspoon of gravy master. I coated the patties with a mix of seasoned and panko bread crumbs. I would make them a little smaller next time....and I certainly will make them again!

These are wonderful but I too found that I had to puree the beans. I only pureed half the beans because I like the chucky pieces as well. Also made these Vegan by using a 1/4 cup of mashed potato instead of the egg. I have made the twice and really love them. I now double the recipe and freeze them for future use.

Saved this recipe in my recipe box a while back but didn't try it until last night. I doubled the batch and followed the recipe but I didn't really measure everything exactly. You don't have to with this. Excellent! I was hoping to freeze the extra but never got around to it. I cooked them up for lunch today. I will be making this again and again.

ok I haven't cooked these yet - But I tasted the 'raw' mix and it was very tasty. I omitted the artichoke because I didn't have any. I read a lot of the reviews so what I ended up doing was hand mashing about 3/4 of the beans with a fork. I also was making these for a friend who can't eat eggs so after some research I used a mashed potato mixed with some of the starchy cooking water. When mixing the ingredients together I added a tiny bit of olive oil and some water until it was a slightly sticky consistency. I then formed 5 patties and they are in the fridge to be cooked 2 days from now. I find the potato/water mix with some mashed beans actually made them form better patties.

Excellent! I made this recipe with Edame beans (fresh frozen and cooked in the microwave and a can of navy beans. I added 2 tbls of cornmeal. I forgot to mush the beans together with the ingredients, so initially the gorgeous patties fell apart as I attempted to fry them. I saved the meal by adding another egg and more breadcrumbs. I will try this recipe again, this time mushing the beans to hopefully hold all the goodies together. I keep thinking about how good these burgers were, so I am making a batch to keep in the freezer for convenience.
