I saw these on the episode and immediately printed the recipe. Decided to make them today. The flavor is fantastic, the texture is great. I woud also use the ingredients, minus the egg and oats and make a salad. Yes it is that GREAT!!!! I am not a trained chef, or vegetarian but have been cooking for years and recently decided to really cook healthy, so this caught my attention right away, especially after all the positive reviews. You will not be disappointed with this recipe. I will be adding it to my menu! And we are starting a personal chef business and will be adding it to that menu as well! I was sampling the mix as I added ingredients and couldn't wait til I actually cooked them! Wow, was I happy with the result. Make these!!!! You will love them. I will be making these for a party this weekend! YUM!!!!!!!!

When I saw Guy making veggie burgers I had to try it...he loves his food, so if he tried this and liked it enough to put it on his show it...that's all the prompting I needed. I've been trying to find recipes for my husband and mother-in-law, both are diabetics...this was truly amazing...just used a bit of mayo, tomato and avacado...and it was heavenly.

This was by far the best veggie burger I have ever had, even my 12 yr old who if he hears veggie and burger together starts to cringe......He ate it all. They are extremely filling too. I followed the recipe exactly and it was really easy. I even have leftover ingredients so I can make it again soon.

I've had some really nasty veggie burgers and always steer clear of them, but saw Guy make this one and had to try. My 8 yr. old daughter has boycotted meat since she learned that animals must die to make it onto her plate, so this was a big hit with her. Definitely recommend doubling the recipe, so you don't waste left over ingredients, and since it's a bit time consuming, will save you the work later when you eat the ones you freeze! I also took the advice of other reviews and smashed the beans and processed the oats. For those that had trouble w/the burger falling apart, you can't treat it like a regular burger, it's delicate....handle with tender lovin' care. Forming the patties like guy did on the show works well (place in small ramekin or custard dish lined w/plastic wrap and press then wrap up and refrigerate. He also added salt and pepper (not on recipe and fried in vegetable oil rather than olive to give it a nice crisp exterior.

I just saw this recipe on TV and am going to the store right now to buy the ingredients. I saw a post earlier asking about the topping that was shown on TV but not in the ricipe. It was a basic Aoli; mayo, garlic, salt, pepper, and lemon zest.
I have not made it yet, but I'm giving it 5 start because I'm sure it's awesome!

I made these for the first time tonight and loved them. I took the advice of other cooks here - I mashed the beans and doubled the recipe. The burger held together very well, and I froze the other ones to eat later in the week. I can't wait to try these out on my husband, who is a totally gung-ho carnivore.
I loved the texture and think this would be a great base recipe to use in other meatless wonders - spaghetti and "meat"balls, sloppy joes, enchiladas...the possibilities are endless.
By the way, did Morgan really create this recipe herself? If so, Guy should have her on more often!

My husband and I are meat eaters... ALL THE WAY. We have tried veggie patties and tofu dogs before and spit them out and threw out the rest. I seen this episode and read the reviews and figured I would give veggie burgers one last shot and I wound up talking my husband into trying it. We liked them so much that I plan on making them again! What I did with ours is
I ground the oats up in the food processor and I mashed the beans up. When I served these I served them with red pepper mayo, lettuce and tomato on top of an onion roll.
Now they did not taste like a normal burger, they did taste like beans but with all the seasonings in it they were pretty good. Guilt free and they filled us up fast!

This was by far the best veggie burger I have ever had! The recipe is simple and flavorful. I made a couple of adjustments based on comments that I read. I omitted the chickpeas and used a can each of black beans and white beans. I used 1/3 cup of bread crumbs and I mashed my beans with a potato masher. The burgers held together perfectly. THANKS!
