    The meat filling was delicious! (I only did that part of the recipe and used my regular toppings for the rest. I only had smoked paprika so used that, but I wouldn't recommend it - kind of overpowers the rest of the flavors. But I'll be restocking on regular paprika and trying this again!

    It was alright, did the job. I feel like the sauce is a good base with room for improvement... otherwise to our taste and from what we are used to expecting from Guy recipes its a bit bland. My fiance was glad we had the mayo from the drunken shrimp tacos for more flavor. Nothing really wow'd us about this recipe but maybe thats why its an "old school" classic!

    Great enchiliada sauce! I have made it a couple times since I tried this taco recipe and it is easily the best I have ever had. Awesome on the tacos, but let's be honest...when I make tacos, it is because I am short on time. If I have this much time to spend on a recipe, it won't be on tacos.

    I made the enchilada sauce to use with homemade chicken and cheese enchiladas. It was delicious. This will be my go-to sauce from now on. I can't wait to try it with beef tacos. I've also made Guy's drunken shrimp tacos and they are delicious too. A lot of great food came out of this Big Bite episode!

    Old School Tacos? I'm sorry I ever graduated. These are easily the best tacos I have ever made. My kids couldn't get enough. By lunch the next day all the leftovers were gone. Prep takes a little time, but if done in advance the final assembly is quick and easy. If you're reading this, run, don't walk to your favorite market, buy the ingredients, and make these right now!

    This is an excellent recipe. At our house we have to make it on the weekend, as there is some time involved in the prep work. But boy it is well worth it! I'm having it for lunch today at work as a taco salad, and it is really yummy as a leftover!

    Guy, It was my husband's birthday yesterday. Made your tacos, your Mexican Pork and Beans and your Drunken Shrimp tacos. Had all the family over. It was a hit! Everyone loved. Those Mexican Pork and Beans were the bomb!! Thanks for the recipes! Keep cookin and I will keep makin and eatin!!

    Thanks for inviting us to your for tacos.
    After seeing your show I went out and got the stuff to make them and they were outrageous.
    The Mexican pork and beans are otu of this world.
