Awesome! I used andouille sausage instead of bacon and deglazed with white wine just before the chicken stock. It was delicious!

This is a GREAT winter dish. Will be cooking it again. Had crusty bread to go along with it, awsome, Guy.

I went with a medium red onion and pork roast with lots of marbling and oooh, what a nice taste. Also went with fresh rather than dried herbs.

    Awesome Guy! Awesome...

Guy - I am definitely going to try this for my Thanksgiving menu! I am serving the traditional turkey, but my father-in-law does not like turkey, so I always made a small ham for him. However, oven space it at a premium, so instead, this year I'm going to make the Pork Oulet on Wednesday, and put it in the slow cooker on Thanksgiving to reheat it. How does that sound? And, by the way Tricia, there are thousands of viewers out there, and not everyone likes the same thing. This is a wonderful alternative for them, so wake up and smell what's cooking!

I watched Guy make this and it is more than wonderful! The flavors are excellent-even unbelievably good. I think any vinegar would work--I used red wine vinegar because I didn't have the sherry.
Really excellent recipe and tastes better the next day.

I?m a big fan of Guys?s from the beginning. I?m a seasoned cook in other words (old. His recipes have taken me out of the box. I?m using different ingredients of all sorts, spices, herbs, peppers, etc. I?m going nuts! This recipe was not complicated, not a lot of steps, easy to follow and most important?.delicious! It?s really a stew dish without beef. Once again?outstanding! I'm adding this one to our family Favorite list.

You didn't cook this, but for some reason, you were compelled to come on here, give it one star because you disagreed with the concept, of more traditional fare.

Some people don't like turkey and never, never serve it for their Thanksgiving...my whole family hates turkey! I either make a crab curry or crown roast of pork or something new that gets my fancy. Guy is doing his job and doing it well. Lay of my Guy.

Honey, your opinion is not that important to any of us.
    Get a life!

I haven't tried this recipe yet, but Guy really doesn't do anything which isn't five star! I'm just wondering if a bit of sherry to deglaze would work rather than the vinegar drizzle to finish? I don't have the vinegar on hand. Maybe another kind of vinegar, if the acidity is needed? If anyone has tried it, please let me know. Also, I'm thinking that sweet or hot bulk Italian sausage would be good instead of the bacon (not with Sherry, though!, think red wine or brandy would work with the sausage. Sorry, Guy, don't mean to change the recipe! Just want to make it without running to the store again. Thank you, love you!!
