    I definitely will be making this for Christmas presents adding some of my own tweeks. I also added instant coffee, brown sugar and cho chips. Yummy! Next time I think I'll leave these out and add hot sauce instead!
    It took about 15-20 min for temp to reach 305...you might try cooking your next batch at a higher temp. My brittle was set in a hour. It's not sticking to my teeth :

    Mine did not set completely even after letting it sit overnight, it was still a little soft. Help!

    I made this for a Christmas give away. I think it tasted good but have a couple issues. When boiling the mixture, it seem to set at about 210 degrees for a long time before it went up to 305. The second issue, it seems to stick to the teeth more than I think it should....

    And to keri :0 I had peanuts in my ingredient list...And I used Guinness stout. and doubled the recipe.

    Whole family loved it! (we're Irish I used Guinness Stout. Added 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, roughly 1 TBS of semi-sweet chocolate chips and a 1/2 tsp of instant coffee. Making it for Christmas gifts this year!

    not much beer flavor (i used sprecher imperial russian stout, a nice hearty beer and i got a pretty small amount for the effort. will try to double it and add a bit of baking soda to give it more of a brittle texture my hubbie prefers. and HEY....WHO FORGOT THE PEANUTS IN THE INGREDIENT LIST??!?!?!!!!?? i added about 1/2 cup. keri :o
