We have made this twice and both times it was OUTSTANDING. We followed the directions and didn't substitute ingredients. Lots of flavor, just the right heat, so tasty! We also fried the japs with the red peppers, YUM. This is the first recipe that was so good I had to actually take the time to review it. Thanks Guy! This is FABULOUS and we plan to impress our friends!

This is the first recipe, by Guy, that I have made. I marinated the chicken for over a day though. It just happened that right in the middle of grilling my grill ran outta gas. So into the stove top grill pan it went. It was a good sandwich, lots of flavor. I will try more of his recipes soon.

I made this for the first time tonight and it was AWESOME!!!!! I cut the recipe in half cause there was only two of us eating (I did keep the pepper flakes the same. I love heat! I also fried up the jalopenos with the red pepper. They were awesome as well. I wasn't a huge Guy fan but my opinion has been changed.
    Thanks a million!

I pound the chicken breasts a bit to make them grill faster and fry the japs w the peppers. You can also grill them(less fat. Add Srirachi Asian hot sauce to the mayo for more spice. Don't skip the cabbage-the flavor is mild and the crunch is yummie.

Don?t pass this one up! Every Sunday friends gather at the local watering hole, taking turns buying grill food. I wind up doing the grilling & this week?s choice was chicken. I?m not a fan of chicken breast, especially the boneless/skinless type, so I had to come up w/ something that had great flavor & wouldn?t dry out, I also don?t care for the old soak in Italian dressing bit that everyone seems to think is the greatest thing ever for meat, seriously people? Sandwiches were definitely the way to go. This sounded awesome. By the time the weekend came around I was set to go. Love the marinade, I?m a sucker for anything w/ lime juice & cilantro. I added a bit of extra light olive oil & ran the ingredients through my processor. I didn?t have a fryer handy to do any frying, grill only, so I made an oil & vinegar slaw for crunch with cabbage, red bell pepper, red onion & green onion. Also instead of a plain mayo, I roasted a couple jalapenos & garlic, ran it through the processor w/ lime juice & made a great roasted jalapeno mayo. I offered a choice of provolone or hot pepper cheese. This is perfection on a grilled crusty bun. No disappointments here at all.

I made both recipes from this episode and they were awesome. You've got to try them. He doesnt say to fry up the jalopenos but we did and it was amazing, the fried peppers went fast so next time we will deff have to add an extra pepper. :

Seriously... this chicken recipe could be the answer to World Peace. True story. To the ladies of the Miss America pageant, you should take notes.

I am an absolute health nut that is training for a triathlon. Poultry is my #1 source of protein. So I'm constantly searching for new ways to shake it up... but in a healthy way. Even still... I splurged and fried the roasted red peppers and jalapenos. DO NOT REGRET IT AT ALL!!! Don't skip this!! SOOOOO GOOOD!!! This recipe absolutely rocked my world!

Every bite was bursting with flavor. You taste EVERYTHING you put into it.
And if you have anything left over the next day... please share your will power with the rest of the world. Seriously though, if you have leftovers, this chicken just keeps getting better. Day 2 is even more amazing!

    ENJOY!

I mixed all the ingredients for the chicken marinade the night before grillage for maximum flavor. The taste and fragrance was out of this world! Growing up in San Antonio finding a new tex-mex-ish chicken sandwich that tops most others is quite a feat! I too dredged the sliced jalapanos and fried em' along side the roasted red peppers. Though I did substitute a nice soft mozzarella and a grilled tomato basil bread, the tangy bird is where our attention (and taste buds stayed focused on. My mother, sister and I didn't want the meal to end. Talk about a big bite have layered that bad boy in fresh sliced onion and cabbage. I served it with a lone roasted ear of corn drizzled in lemon juice and chili powder. This colorful sandwich is a for sure staple in my recipe box to be made again and again.

We made these chicken sandwhiches over the weekend. I allowed them to marinade overnight. After reading many reviews I decided to fry up the red peppers and the jalapeno peppers. Very tasty dinner! Although, I felt rather guilty about the deep fried peppers I put on top, hah! Hubby and I do eat mayo, but we didnt feel it needed anything extra like a sauce, was juicy enough. I tried to add chopped cabbage to mine, but just kept falling off without the mayo, so would probably just skip that part next time. Will make again for sure. Hubby rated a 9 out of 10 stars for our house. Thanks!
