The chicken marinade was great. I fried the jalepenos and the red peppers which made it extra delicious. I chose not to make a sandwich and instead served it as a main entree with rice and beans and spicy slaw (see Tyler Florence. I will definitely be making this one again!

Great sandwich. I grilled boneless chix breasts then sliced for sandwiches. I also floured/fried both the jalepenos from the marinade and some store bought jarred roasted peppers (slice very thin. I prepared the peppers after putting the chx breasts in the oven on warm after taking off the grill. You can also shred the onions and cabbage ahead of time and keep in the fridge. Woulddn't change a thing!!!

Amazing flavor. I only used 1 jalapeno pepper in the marinade. The peppers w/ the shrimp &chorizo rice was one of the most delicious things me & my husband had ever eaten. It made alot more & we devoured the leftover rice stuffing all by itself. Imagine the best "fried rice" you have ever had!!

My husband and I love this sandwich. In fact, he ate 2 of them tonight!

Easy, fun to make. I've never fried roasted red peppers before (I used store-bought ones, but they were so essential to the sandwich.

It's definitely in my regular menu rotation. Thanks, Guy!

I really enjoyed this sandwich. The ingredients weren't out of control. I hate recipes with ingredients that are so weird you'll never use them again, ever, in anything else. It was rainy outside (yipee, finally in northern California, so I used a grill pan for the chicken, pounding the thicker part of the breast so cooking would be more even. The flavor of the marinade was wonderful, not one ingredient overpowered another, just complimented one another. The bell pepper strips gave it a sweet little zip. I divided the recipe since there are only 2 of us, and had super large chicken breasts, so was hoping for leftovers for lunch the next day, but my husband devoured the remaining shredded chicken after the meal. I would say this one is definitely "a keeper."

I made this sandwich per the instructions and it was excellent. I marinated breasts and thighs and used the breast meat for the sandwiches. The tacos I made the following day from the marinated thigh meat was equally good (maybe a bit better. Since I had all the marinated jalepenos as well as the roasted red pepper I chose to coat them and fry them up too. That added one more subtle layer of flavor that was excellent in both the sandwich and taco. You can choose not to fry the jalepeno but dont skip the fried red pepper step, it added a nice touch on it's own.

    This one's a keeper.

My family loves this this sandwich! I make it pretty much the same as Guy, but I pound out the chicken breast (a little too much meat if you don't and I slather it with a chipotle mayo (one cup mayo + half a can of chipotles in adobo in the food processor for kick! With a margarita on the side... this is tops!

made this lastnight for dinner but instead of a sandwich we ate them on tortilla. the marinade is great. i put in 2 huge cloves of garlic ,marinaded all day. put chicken on grill for marks and finished them on the oven with the marinade with alittle chicken stock on top of it. shredded chicken and put it in tortilla with green rice(ingrid hoffmann, from foodnetwork which is excellent also. added some avacodo and pepper jack cheese. there was nothing left! our son and his friends raved about it ,husband too!! passing the recipes on to my bestfriend. i know she's going to love it just as much as we did! keep it up guy!! you rock!!!

This is one awesome sandwich. I wish I had the forethought to marinate more things, because the chicken really took on the flavors in this one. I would never put cabbage on anything, but I followed the recipe here and it just works. Good stuff.
