I made this recipe as directed but without making a sandwich out of it. The only other thing was that I did not use the cabbage. It was great. I am surprised at how spicy the chicken got from the jalepenos. It was quite spicy, though my husband would have liked more spice! Before I read the reviews I was going to omit the fried peppers. I'm glad I didn't. I will be making them a lot. Overall a great meal with good ideas for future meals.

My wife is not a huge fan of a sandwich made with anything other than simple lunch meat... so when she saw the recipe she went 'ehhhh'... so instead, shes a HUGE Fajitas fan... I marinated the chicken over night, exactly as the reciple says... and then took put some onions in the bag near the end. I put the chicken on the grill along with the sliced onions (in a container made for grilling. That's it... and they are DELICIOUS. I suggest people try it this way also if you like Fajitas and want a sure fire way to spice up the food and woman in your life!

This sandwich was delicious. I tweaked a few things such as using mozarella instead of provolone and omitted the red onion b/c my husband hates onions. The fried red peppers are a must- they give it a unique flavor. The marinade gives the chicken a nice bite! I toasted the bun in the toaster and the whole thing turned out great.

One of the best chicken sandwhiches we've ever had. Marinade was "tasty," but the fried red peppers really made this dish stand out.

Super easy and so good even my husband likes it. Love the afterburn from the peppers. I have made it on the outdoor grill and on the stove indoors and both absolutely rocked.

Both Hubby and I really enjoyed this. It took about 2 bites to know we had a 'keeper'. I marinaded the breasts and peppers for about 5 hours and they were moist and flavorful with a nice kick from the tequila and jalapenos. I used jarred roasted peppers, never considered frying them before, will be frying them up this way for a few other recipes too.
