    This is an excellent recipe. Some advice, if you want a bit less heat remove the seeds from the jalapeno prior to roasting. Also the Spicy Green Bean mix works just as well with Asparagus spears.

    The lime made the beans bitter. Next time I won't put them in the canning jar. Also, I think it needs some more sugar it was way to vinegary- I used agave nectar, which in hindesite may not be as sweet at agave syrup, although there was no description or recipe for avage syrup. I was disappointed in the result but they were edible. I will try it again with some tweaking. I do love spicy pickled green beans...
