I love this hummus. I only changed a few things. I roasted the red peppers myself, so i chopped up the leftovers and put it on top with the evoo. I also added tahini and lemon juice to the recipe. It was amazing even before allowing it to rest.

Great recipe! I noticed the comment below from ES123 and I'm thinking that she or he did not give it time to sit. I tasted it as soon as I finished and it was "good" not great. But as the instruction said I then let it sit about an hour and it was much different....great! A nice texture, and good amount of spice. REALLY good!

I followed this recipe exactly (except for leaving out the jalapeno and it was pretty awful. I'm not sure why this was called roasted red pepper hummus. There were so many southwestern flavors that it was no longer hummus by the time it was done, and you couldn't even recognize the roasted red pepper. I'm going to search for a plain hummus recipe and just add roasted red pepper.

Guy is one of my go to chefs when it comes to certain foods. This recipe did not disappoint. Every time I serve this it's a hit. It's been so popular I'm serving it at a wedding reception I'm helping to cater.

I'm not sure what happened but I followed the recipe exactly and it came out like soup. Now I'm thinking maybe I had to drain the chickpeas... shouldn't that be stated in the recipes. I threw the whole thing out. I did not enjoy this at all.

I made it to take to a friends and they loved it. I did leave out the jalapeno peppers, didn't want to make it too hot. The texture came out perfect and it was full of flavor! Also, i blended with 1/3 less olive oil and it came out great, not salsa like. Good with toasted pitas, fried tortillas, or tortilla chips!

Hmm...I wanted to love this but was disappointed in that I was expecting hummus and ended up with something of a hummus/salsa hybrid, leaning a little more on the salsa side. That being said, it had a good flavor. If you are looking for something DIFFERENT that hummus, this might be something to try.

I make this at least every other month. We love it! I add sun-dried tomatoes for an added zip. This recipe is a staple in my house.

I like hummus a whole lot . . . I think I still prefer to add Tahini which I did not add. While this recipe is good, I did add 1/2 a lemon juice and mellowed out the spiceness. I think I would also leave out the jalapeno and only do the chipolte, as I can't handle too much spice. I'll have to try Morgan's Veggie Burgers next.
