Absolutely delicious! I am not a fan of gorgonzola, so I substituted with grated gruyere. Super, super tasty. I ended up picking out a white sweet potato, so that all the ingredients were white. Love the pairing with dried tarragon. Just wish it wasn't so high in fat (heavy cream & cheese! Oh well, its a dish to make sparingly or for special occasions.

I have not yet tried this recipe, but I plan to very soon, perhaps for our Christmas dinner. I have not ever cooked with celery root, and I believe this will be the intro dish for it. Can't wait!

I'm violating my own rule about writing any review before actually trying something out first. For that I beg your forgiveness.

i've been looking for that big mixing bowl for some time now, and can't seem to find it anywhere. Anchor Hocking makes a similar set of three bowls - I believe they call them "Splash Proof" bowls, but the largest in the set is only 4 Qt. The bowl that Guy uses, (and Tyler Florence, for that matter, is clearer around 7 Qt., or so, which is what I'm looking for.

Has anyone seen this large mixing bowl anywhere for sale? You would think the Food Network Store would carry this kind of stuff, but they do not.

    Many thanks for any help.

Not one of our favorites. Celery root was new for us and much stronger flavor than anticipated. Potatoes, sweet and russet were great with the dish and the parsnips passable,, but no one in my family could get passed the celery root. It also took much longer to cook than the recipe indicated. My roast was done and cooled off by the time this dish finished.

I'm taking the left overs mashing them for tomorrows dinner, we'll see how that goes over.

I'm a real fan of root veggies, but my hubby is just so so... We were watching you this morning and he commented that this would be a good recipe to try out to get rid of the roots in our veggie bin. I didn't have the celery root, but put together turnips, parsnips, sweet potato and Idahos... I'm not a fan of tarragon, so we didn't add this.. but what a recipe!!!! It will definitely become a family favorite for us... It's a great side dish for the baked cod we had tonight... strong veggies with mild fish... nothing better.

Thanks for "turning him " on to roots!!!
