Loved it. A bit spicy even though I only used one jalapeno and less chili/cayenne pepper. A bit of a leap for a beginner like me ! haha. Lots of prep. But the end result was awesome!! Everyone loved it =

I have to say I could not find dried pasilla peppers, but I did find them in a jar. So I did all directions and added the peppers at the point to add the sauce and tomato paste. But the flavor of this chili was great. The best turkey chili I have ever made. I will make again and will search harder for the dried peppers. The two grocery stores I checked did not have them. I am sure it would have to give 10 stars then....

Okay, so I'm making this chili right now. I have about 45 minutes to go but the aroma is so tempting and delicious I have to keep tasting to make sure it is as good as it smells (like a little devil on my shoulder tempting into wrong doing. I'm afraid there is going to be nothing left by the time this recipe is finished. I cut down by 1/2 the pasilla chili peppers, I like it spicy but not too spicy. This is just perfect, delicious, and I can't wait to serve it to the family tonight. I just hope there will be some left by the time they get home.

This recipe took a LONG time to make mainly because I found it difficult to chop the pasilla peppers. However, it was truly delicious. Both my significant other and I devoured it. I left out the cheese and served with blue corn tortilla chips instead.

I cannot cook to save my life but my friends were having a chili cook-off and I was determined to participate so I used this recipe. I got all of my ingredients at the farmer's market and used 8 fresh pasilla peppers instead of dried ones. Also, I used dark meat turkey for a little extra flavor. The chili was excellent and I won the cook-off!!! There are a lot of ingredients but it is totally worth it, great chili!

By far THE BEST TASTING CHILI EVER! I made this for my children, husband, parents and brother. Everyone went up for seconds. Served it with some cornbread on the side. Perfect for a snowy New England evening!!!

My fiancé © and I love a meaty chile and this recipe hit the spot! I have tried other recipes but those have now been replaced with this one. My father loves chili and said he would come over to eat at my house before going to purchase another chili! Like the other reviewers have said I also could not find the pasilla peppers and felt it was just the right amount of heat without them. Though I like spicy food, not adding the peppers I felt made it perfect with just the right kick for everyone. You must try this, it will not let you down.

We made this in a 7 quart slow clooker. Simmered for about 3 hours.
For being a turkey based chili, this was awesome. A few people in the family are diabetic. This was a hit with them and non-diabetic. I did not find the pasilla chile peppers in the grocery store so I passed. I don't know if it would have made the chili taste better, but we thought it was great. Not so spicy for those that don't like my level of spice.

We ate with wheat pasta instead of crackers. Diabetics should avoid saltine crackers when possible.

This was so good I have it in my permanent recipe book and printed an extra for a family member.

I used some of my leftover Thanksgiving turkey, cubed, in lieu of the ground turkey. I also added sliced black olives, organic corn, and fresh mushrooms to the ingredients list. I could not find the chile peppers so that is why I probably had to add many more spices. I do like a spicy chili! Lastly, I did not have to add the paste as it was thick enough without it. Nice! I will make this again in the future.
