I made these sloppy joes for Superbowl last year and they were a hit. I'm making them again this year. Perfect spice and flavor and they were easy even for a college student like me who only cooks once a month!

I've made sloppy joes for years and my family's favorite is when I take French rolls, cut off one end and remove the bread from the roll being careful not to puncture the sides. Then stuff the sloppy joe mixture into the roll, wrap in foil and they're ready to be heated in the oven or taken on a camping trip.

This was just OK. WAY to much oil, not enough spice to make it even warm, let alone hot. VERY bland. Will not be making this again. Sorry Guy

It's hard to believe that I've never made Sloppy Joes with all of my years in the kitchen, and I made these for Monday Night Football with the guys and they were a big hit. Just enough heat from the jalapeno and cayenne and the hint of sweet from the brown sugar made these excellent. I didn't bother with the onion straws, although I bet they would have been a nice addition.

Never before have I made a sloppy joe and my pre-conceived notions of it was just ground meat...but this recipe proved that all wrong. The flavors were fantastic and it had a kick to it. It was the perfect sandwich for the game and proved to be not too sloppy.

What can I say? I don't usually like sloppy joe recipes but this one is the best. I am making this for a potluck at work.

I had sloppy joes last week made from the can, so I tried this thinking it would be great. Not so. Mediocre at best and a waste of time.

The brown sugar mixes nicely with the spiciness of the cayenne. I omitted the jalapeno so it wouldn't be too spicy for my little ones. I didn't make the maui onion straws. The joes didn't need it!

    "Too many notes, Mozart!"

This has more ingredients than most of the recipes in "Mastering the Art of French Cooking". And for Sloppy Joes ?

I'd PAY for these, certainly; but MAKE them? Naaahhh.
