A great recipe for an Indian food craving! Be careful not to misread the tsp for tbsp under the butter sauce ingredients. I've made this recipe a few times and the 2nd time I made it I misread it and boy was it STRONG. Other than that, this is a great recipe with a lot of flavor. Make sure you reduce the tomatoes in the butter sauce or else it will be watery. I already had garam masala on hand but once I run out, I will try Guy's recipe to make my own to see if it makes the difference.

this is so goo. It has become one of my family's favorites. Making the garam masala rather than buying it makes all the difference.

We saw your episode of Guy's Big Bite where you made this receipe, and we were inspired to give it go. We waited for a special occasion to make it, and were so very happy and impressed with how it turned out! Yum! Though the online receipe doesn't mention it, we followed what you did on the show and put apricots and sliced almonds in the rice. It was delicious! Thanks so much for the wonderful receipe - we will definitely be making it again!

I used lemon juice instead of pomegranate juice and used coconut oil instead of olive and vegetable. It was delicious. I used store bought curry powder...

Very tasty! Even the leftovers got eaten. A little strong on the onion, I would cut the quantity in half if you don't LOVE their flavor.

Loved the chicken, I did make it more spicy, I also didn't add any pomagrant juice, still came out great.

Made it once per recipe...just ok; made it again and doubled the spices in the butter sauce, plus added a generous pinch of cayanne and it was AMAZING! If the "paste" that you make for the chicken seems too thick, thin with a bit of pom. juice.

I used chicken breasts, bone in with skin & put the "paste" under the skin as well as on it...discarded the skin but kept the "paste" (now baked for the next step.

In the butter sauce, I seemed to need to thin it too, so used milk.
Salted to taste (not using 2 tsp. as we are trying to cut down.

I cooled the final product, put in fridge overnite & gently reheated it for a special dinner the next nite...guests raved (& they love Indian food. Thanks again, Guy. P.S. the rice rocks too!

Recently fell in love with Indian Food from this dish My girlfriend and I had in Europe. I have been searching for a recipe to compare ever since, and this one was exactly what we wanted. The chicken is awesome, we would prefer to add a little more heat and it would be perfect. We didn't make the basmati rice, however we did make our own version of it with regular long grain white rice, adding red onion and thats it. Overall, it is by far the closest we have come to recreating our first and favorite Indian Dish! THANKS GUY!
