Wow! This one is tasty! I love it. I made some changes though. First, for a couple of reasons I fried the avocados in the shell. My avocados were a little bit on the ripe side and there is always presentation. It worked out. Second I did not have all the ingredients but I did the best I could and it was tasty! I think the next time I make this (and there will definitely be a next time I will make some more changes possibly in ingredients but I thing it needs a little bit of a binder to help keep it all together during the frying process. I made more of a beer batter rather than a tempura batter but they are similar due to the bubbles in the beer. Good job Guy!

Really loved the shrimp mixture but when you put it in the avacado and fry it, you kinda lose the the taste in all that avacado. And I love avacadoes!! I will definately do the mixture again but I'll probably put it in a won ton wrapper with a diced avacado. Oh by the way my husband and I just love watching you!

I wonder if you can try this recipe with ground chicken or anything else but sea food? It sounds so delicious! I dont eat sea food due to allergies. I know it sounds dumb but I break out with hives when I eat sea food. This recipe sounds so delicious and I am afraid to go out and spend money to buy all the ingredients just to find out that its not what I expected.

This recipe is a lot like one of my favorite appetizers at the Cheescake Factory....Avocado Spring Rolls.

I used Guys recipe, with the shrimp mixture, making sure all ingredients, including the avocado, can be wrapped easily in a springroll wrapper and then deep fried. It was excellent. The whole avocado deep fried looked so messy.

The men went crazy over this! They'll be kissin' *^&$! for awhile. Long prep time. Avocados tricky to get in an out of the batter and the grease. Will probably try diced pork next time just because when I use shrimp I want to taste the shrimp. For those afraid of fried foods, don't be scared of this one, it is very very light. We ranked this one at our house as Yum-a-licious.

This is such a brilliant recipe! When I first saw it I thought "wow did he just throw that together cuz it sure seems like it!" But I thought man that's practically sushi but without the seaweed wrap so I thought I'd give it a go. My whole family and I LOVED it! We're advocado addicts and well who DOESNT love shrimp? So we went crazy over it. The Tempura batter made it even better! However my boyfriend didn't like it but then again he hates anything vegetable haha. What I would do next time I make this is put less vegetable and more shrimp because there's just too much vegetable going around. other than that it's pretty much flawless. :

I prepared like it said and I guess my stove doesn't get as hot has Guy;s and it turned out soupy. I let it cool in the liquid and then strained the mixture and continued. I made this for a dinner party and had rave reviews. I'll make this again.
