I added lime zest for extra flavor. The quality of tequila you use really makes a difference, these are great bars!!

These bars were absolutely wonderful. We decided that it makes a difference in the type of tequila you use. Each tequila has a different taste so keep that in mind. We used Patron and they were a huge hit at our tailgating.

These have just come out of the oven, so I haven't tasted them yet. I used graham crackers. Wished I read more of the reviews before I started or I would have lined my sheet with parchment paper. I hope mine don't stick. I grated some of the lime zest into the mixture while making it to add color, plus I love limes. My only concern was that there seems to be inconsistencies in the recipe and the video. In the video, guy mixes everything directly into the egg whites rather than seperately. Then in the video, he takes the bars out of the oven and they've got the crumb topping already on them, but in the recipe, it calls to add the crumbs after you take it from the oven and cool it.

These were a big hit at the office party! Only changes I made were to use walnuts, pine nuts are too expensive, and I lined the pan with parchment paper going about 6 inches higher than the pan. This made it easy to lift out and cut. Will definitely make again.

These were a hit! I made a big mexican dinner and had this and another chocolate trifle dessert. Everyone loved these bars...loved the citrus taste. I thought the flavors were very well balanced. Next time I make them I will spray the pan with PAM before as they did stick some.

These are easy to make and taste good. My only complaint is that the Tequila flavor is very strong. Maybe it's the brand of Tequila I used. Also, I substituted graham cracker crumbs and walnuts in place of vanilla wafers and pine nuts. I want to use what I have on hand. I would make these again, maybe adding some orange flavored liquor in place of some of the tequila or even using a little less lime juice.

Well I'm disappointed because I planned to make these and they didnt rise as high as I would of liked them to. I dont know if it's that I overcooked them. I baked for 25 minutes like recipe says, but video of Guy says 15 minutes. Which one is it???
If i ever do it again, I hope the recipe is updated with right time. I wasted all these ingredients to have an average dessert.

    Bummed out....;(

WOW!!! THE TEQUILA BARS WERE ON POINT!!! I brought them to a friends "Mexican" theme party and EVERYONE LOVED THEM!! THEY WERE DELICIOUS and perfect! I used Patron silver tequila and strongly recommend using a quality tequila. I love Guy Fieri and have also tried numerous recipes - which were equally amazing! Everyone knows Guy and its kind of fun bringing dishes that are his recipes. Everyone expects the recipe to be a "WOW-KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF" dish - and it always is!!!

I was skeptical since I've never cooked with tequila before, but wow! These were great! I used 1/4 c tequila and threw a little splash in afterwards, so somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3c. It made a lot, which is good because they were all gone very quickly!
