I'm not a drinker, so I had no tequila. This recipe was absolutely the best ever (even w/o the liquor!!! My kids and husband loved it. Guy is great and I've tried several of his recipes and none of them have failed me!! He's a fresh addition to FN!!

This was great! With 2 kids that love to try new things this was a hit. Our family eats healthy and so I marinated the fish but skipped the batter and frying and broiled the fish on a rack and reserved the drippings and poured that over the fish once the fish was cooked. I also used a low fat sour cream and less milk for the Aioli. Very fresh and satisfying and we also had frozen margaritas with this instead of the sangria. Loved it all together. Thanks Guy! Enjoy!

Loved the crunch of the fish from the panko. The flavors were fresh and light. Prep time was long but the finished product was well worth it!

I didn't do the marinade and added some consomme powder to the dry batter, but with the bean salad, the aioli sauce, the pico de gallo, and fresh yellow corn tortillas hot off the grill, this meal scored great points for a mother's day treat for my wife. My wife's Mexican and she said they were the best fish tacos she had ever had.
Easy recipe! Great taste!

These are some of the best fish tacos i've had, and that's including some of the best spots here in San Diego. I used Bicardi Limon for the marinade since i didn't have any tequila and it worked great. Didn't do the aioli since i'm not a big fan, but the pico de gallo was great. I used Mahi Mahi from Trader Joe's and it was a perfect fish. The 1 pound of meat gave us a few days of leftovers (2 of us. I would recommended cutting the fish into bigger pieces, as it became tedious covering each morsel and my wife spent literally 10-15 minutes coating them and handing them to me to fry. especially since they get broken up anyways. The juicy marinade inside mixed with the crunchy outer layer is a great combination of flavors and textures. enjoy.

Though Guy's larger than life persona grates on me a bit it didnt skew my view of this recipe at all. It was delicious, pretty easy, and well received by everyone in my house. I did dress up the slaw a bit with some lime juice, honey, and seasonings, also used Mexican crema instead of sour cream and milk, but kept everything else pretty much the same. Will definitely make again...LOVED the tempura/panko coating and will definitely use this in other applications! Thanks!

My family loved this recipe! We live in CA so fish tacos are something we go out to eat quite a bit, but no more. We can make our own! I used catfish instead of cod, because it's what I had on hand and it was great - make sure you serve it with the aioli.
