The fish was cooked perfect. What a great combination of tastes with this recipe. You feel like your are eating authentic south of the border tacos. Guy is awesome and his friends add a nice twist to the show. It makes me feel like I am in the kitchen with them.

I have never liked fish tacos, until Guy came along! These are soooo good and easy to make. I would recommend following his recipe to the letter. It all works so good together. I am well known for my "adjustments" to recipes but this one, no no no...no changes!
    Thanks Guy, love ya!

I made this entire "show's worth" of meal - the fish tacos, the salad, the sangria - all were hits! The prep time WAS more intensive than indicated - it took me about an hour to do everything except for the frying of the fish...but well worth it! An entire meal for 5 people (guests in that amount of time is well worth it!

I love both fish tacos and Guy Fieri, so I was initially excited to try this recipe. However, the prep and cooking time FAR exceeded what was indicated. The fish had little flavor and the aoli was too thin to act as a dressing for the cabbage; both got tossed after the meal. The pico de gallo was the only part of this recipe I'd make again.

I've been dying to make fish tacos for a few years now. Saw this episode, and knew that was the way to go.

Skipped the tequila, used Tilapia as the fish, went with lettuce (romaine instead of cabbage. Took a solid hour and a half to prepare the Aioli, Pico de Gallo and Black Bean Salad.

Took a break before beginning the batter stations and dry toppings. It was very easy to fry, and the fish turned out AWESOME.

I think I'll cut the fish differently next time. We (3 polished off most of a pound of fish. Tons of aoli, pico de gallo and black bean salad leftover. If there were 8 (as the recipe suggest, we would have wanted a little more fish, but the sides/toppings would have been great.

My second great success with a Guy recipe (pulled pork is awesome too. Keep up the good work!!!

This recipe sounds like a winner but is very disappointing. The fish tacos were pretty much flavorless. The tequila lime marinade on the fish and the aoli added very little flavor. The tempura batter was pretty messy to work with and when the fish was done all you pretty much taste is the flavorless batter, not the fish. My husband didn't like it either and we ended up throwing the whole meal out and going out for dinner. I hate that I wasted my time and money on it.

My kids chowed these and the are not big on fish. It is interesting to see the only poor reviews on this relate to the cooks show. If you don't like him don't watch his show. Every recipe of Guy's I have tried is big on taste as promised.

keep up the good work Bling and all!

    Cheers,
    Jim
