This recipe was so good and simple. The caramel sauce was to die for!

I would like to make this recipe for our camping trip. Has anyone tried making the sauce ahead of time?

Ah-May-Zing!!!! I made this for my husband for Fathers Day and my entire family fell in love with it. I didn't have orange liqueur so I substituted toffee flavoring instead and it was great. It was so good I made it again the following weekend for my in-laws and it was a big hit. We can't get enough of this french toast.

I used milk instead of cream and regular bread instead of Texas toast but it still turned out really good.

Made this today for my husband and I and we really liked it. I accidentally added 1 Tbsp of the banana liqueur to the batter for the toast, but it wasn't a disaster thankfully! :D Will definitely be making this one again!!

We just made this dish, and cut the ingredients in half. It made lots of the syrup, which was every bit as sweet as the bottled syrup. Neither of us could taste the orange, and none of the liquors. Overall, it could have been made with Mrs. Butterworth's for basting the banana slices , and a basic egg-cream mixture for the bread.
If we make it again, I'll increase the rum and Grand Marnier, cinnamon, and vanilla to add more flavor. The bananas were the highlight, adding great flavor.
