Recipe Summary was right on target. Easy and timing, only I rate this a five star. The taste and texture was out of this world. I even had it for breakfast!

I made it without the paprika and cheese and it was still awesome. I can't wait to make it again.

This is the first time I've made this recipe. It lacked flavor. I think it could have used a bit more jalapino and spicing. The texture was very good. I served it with some picante' sauce on top and that made it much better. I'm a big fan of Guy's and will try more of his recipes.

Sorry Guy,
Please stick to other recipes from the Mexican kitchen. I would never dare to make this for anybody in my house. I do 90% of the cooking in the house and I've seen rice cooked many different ways, but never the way you made it. Dude,....you have to gently pan fry it until opaque, then add the tomato sauce and whatever else. It's hard to explain over an e-mail, but Dude....really, Tequila???Mitch

This was a super simple recipe. I substitued brown rice for regular white long grain and it turned out GREAT! I have been looking for a good mexican rice recipe and I definately found it!

Last minute inspirational recipe from Guy. I didn't have traditional long grain rice, so I cooked minute rice instead. I used all the other ingredients and sauteed in some tomato paste. I also degazed with beer instead of white wine. I let it cook a little longer so it would crisp up. I also didn't have the mexican cheese, so I used a combo of monterey jack & parmesean. It was tasty, I give my concoction 4 stars... when I go to the store I will get all of the CORRECT ingredients and hopefully next time it will be 5 stars.

the rice wasn't bad but the oregano was so overwhelming! Aside from the oregano the rice was pretty bland. Next time I'll probably switch measurements of oregano and paprika. 2 tsp paprika and only 1/2 tsp. oregano instead. I think the flavor would be much better.
