This has become a staple lunch/dinner item at my house. Very easy and fast, and the burgers are so juicy! (Unlike previous turkey burgers I've had We have even used the same meat mixture to make meatballs--great atop a Caesar salad or with tomato sauce--and for meatloaf. In fact, we have even begun making extra (meatballs or loaves and freezing them for later.
For the meatballs-sear outside, then put into oven at 350 til done--usually about 20 min.
Meatloaves-makes 2 to 3 mini loaves, depending on size of pan. (I have a piece of stoneware that has 4 mini loaf wells so that is what I use Put into oven at 350 til done--usually about 30 to 45 min.

Unbelievable taste for a turkey burger! I made this for my beef-loving husband on Superbowl Sunday and he raved about the taste.

Loved this!!! So Delicious! A little more fancy than what I was anticipating but I can't complain. This was my second time ever using a cast iron skillet and I couldn't believe what it could do.
I used a regular whole wheat bun instead of rye bread and it was still tasty, can't wait to use Rye next time.

Made burgers from this recipe instead of patty melts to cut down on butter & oil. This makes a moist, flavorful patty that I didn't expect to get from ground turkey. With some oven fries on the side we had a filling dinner that was still healthy & affordable. This one's a keeper in our house.

This is a great recipe. I am always looking for ground turkey recipes and found this a few months back. My family loves these, even my husband who hates ground turkey. You can substitute herbs, lighten up the butter, etc.. just stick with the basic premise of the recipe and you end up with a great meal.

I cut the butter and oil in half and this was a yummy, lighter version of the heavy patty melts you get in a diner. Next time I will cut the panko in half. I didn't use the sage or thyme so I added a little cayenne and garlic powder and it worked out good. I used swiss cheese.

My family really enjoyed these burgers. I have made them as the recipe calls for and, I have changed them up. Our favorite is slider size and substituting herbs de provence containing sage, for the plain sage.

    Absolute tops.

Don't be fooled into thinking that you can't pull this off if you don't have ground turkey. Lean minced steak (as they call it here in the UK is also an excellent substitute.

What? The store doesn't sell rye bread? No problem! Go with something that has some nice grains in it. The flavors in this burger, onions, and mushrooms will make sure you're not missing a thing.

I found the overall recipe to be a bit heavy in the canola oil usage - with that one single exception, we fell in love with this dish for dinner! The onions and mushrooms simply are a MUST. Additionally, some full grain mustard either on the side or lightly spread on the top piece of bread brought such an amazing "zing" to the dish... I'm not sure why it's almost an after-thought at the end!

Well done, Guy (like you need one of us amateurs giving you more encouragement... Pffft!!

Best regards from us Yanks over here in the UK (Yes, Food Network UK really is a hit!

Holy Moly. This is so flavor filled. I made it with baked beans, potato salad and deviled eggs. My husband went crazy over them. I was afraid he was going to burn his mouth on them. lol. He wouldn't let them cool. It filled the house with such yummy smells. I don't know how you could make anything any better. The carmilized onions just made it so good and the Gureyere cheese......don't get me started. :P Thanks Guy!!!!!!!
