These were good. The bbq sauce was very delcious. It had heat from the serrano chili and it was sweet from the raspberry jam. I followed the written recipe not the video. I didnt have frozen raspberries so I just used the jam. I will definately use the sauce on other things in the future.

I changed this up a little (just being a little creative Guy. After brining I rubbed in my favourite BBQ spice mix (lots of sage and fennel ground up and slow cooked on the grill with apple wood chips smoking over the heat (ribs were indirect ofcourse. When nearly done I basted with my favourite BBQ sauce (used the sweet, vinegar based one and they were DELICIOUS :
Thanks for the brine with vinegar idea ..... would never have occured to me without you Guy :

I really liked the cooking method. Nice, tender meat. The sauce did not caramelize with these direction though. I turned the heat to broil and left it for 10 minutes per side and it still could have used more. The sauce was good! But not great. As noted, don't forget the chipotle! I ran out of molasses, so I used abut a tbsp of honey instead, but otherwise followed exactly. It was good... Definitely different than what we're used to.

Unfortunately, I read the "time" account at the top of the article before I re-reviewed the recipe and thought I'd better get started ASAP or eat at midnight. The total time, I'm assuming, refers to the additional time required to make the BBQ sauce from scratch, because there's no way it takes that long to brine and cook the ribs. That being said, I followed the directions (except making the BBQ sauce as directed. First of all, I would suggest using the entire can of beer as the beer in my roaster evaporated and burned the bottom of the roaster. Secondly, the BBQ sauce (I used the Raspberry Chipotle Sauce from Costco as a previous poster used needs to be on the ribs longer in the oven. The BBQ was almost undetectable. However, the actual ribs were the tenderest ribs I ever put in my mouth! Next time, I'll use the whole can (I don't drink beer anyway and leave the BBQ on for 10 minutes per side. Delicious!

As of right now, the recipe does not call for chipotles in the BBQ sauce. You see him put it in the sauce on the video and it's one of the "key" ingredients. I added the chipotles to mine and it's a great sauce!

My wife said it best. "These are the best ribs I've ever eaten!" I agree with her testimony. They were also very easy . We'll add this to our favorite list for sure.

The smell as it was cooking and flavor of the ribs were delicious. However, I must have overcooked it (even though I stayed under the 90 minutes recommended because the meat was relatively tough. I was hoping the brine would somehow make it like those ribs that fall right off the bone, but no dice.

I made these last night & I have to say, just the smell alone coming from the oven with the beer, onion & garlic slow cooking those ribs was enough to make everyone drool. This recipe is THE BOMB DIGGITY....thank you Guy for sharing this one. It will now be a "staple" on our dinner menu.
