These are really tasty and I am making them again for Easter dinner. I did make some changes only because I didn't have apples or agave syrup on hand. I used brown sugar in lieu of the syrup. Also used honey whiskey, which gave it a really nice sweetness without being overpowering.

Amazing! The nuts were the best part, but the whole thing was delicious. I would dial back the pepper a little, but it was wonderful.

Guy has done good with this recipe! It's so delicious and easy to make! I made it for Christmas Dinner and my family loved it! It's so good that you don't have to cook it just for the holidays, it's a year-round recipe!

This is a very easy, very tasty alternative to the marshmallow-laden casserole. The cayenne pepper gives just a little bite and helps cut the sweetness of the potatoes and apples. The heat sneaks up on you. I've never cooked with agave syrup before. I had no trouble finding it in my lttle corner grocery store. It was easy to use. The bourbon I thought I had in my cabinet turned out to be brandy. I used it anyway and it was fine. Well done, Guy. Thanks!

This was SO amazing! Definitely the stand-out dish at Thanksgiving. My suggestion would be to make a little more sauce for that extra flavor. Also, if you're really looking for that whiskey taste, you can up the apples because they soak in the flavor much more than the potatoes.

Fantastic - beautiful and easy to make. Everyone asked for the recipe. Don't be afraid of the cayenne pepper - the little pop of heat keeps the dish from being overly sweet. Definitely a keeper.

These sweet potatoes were the star of my Thanksgiving Dinner! I made half again of the sauce and layered the potatoes with chopped apples as suggested in a review--awesome.
